What do anda think when anda hear the word "yaoi?" Do anda even know what's yaoi? Well, for those who don't, here's a simple definition: it's boys love. Yes, boys love.
Many people discriminate this as "disgusting" atau "revolting", but then again that is what the term "fujoshi" means: a rotten woman. Anyways, back to he point!
Yaoi has been aound for some time, getting publicity from mostly peminat girls and some boys. People will usually think "Why like yaoi?" atau even just eliminate the idea that they will ever like yaoi. But actually, Yaoi is just lebih than imej menunjukkan two boys. When anda really think about it, Yaoi is menunjukkan the freedom of love, setting an example that Cinta has no boundaries. In most cases, Cinta with two of the same gender is weird, abnormal, discriminating, and some even believe it's crazy. But it's actually nice to know that there's people out there who don't follow the rules of just making straight couples, which most mangas and animes do.
How many animes/mangas can anda name with Yaoi couples? How many can anda name with straight couples? Can anda see a difference?
Just like yaoi, there's also girls love, atau yuri. This is lebih popular with males, but also females. When anda think of a male liking yaoi, atau a female liking yuri, anda probably would believe they're gay atau lesbain. Surprisingly, there is people out there who are straight and watch Manga atau Anime with couples of the same gender.
So why do people still discriminate atau talk about those who like Yaoi and Yaoi itself?
They just don't see eye-to-eye like others. Yes, there will be people who will go against many things, but it's better if they are left alone.
My point is, there is nothing wrong about liking Yaoi atau for people liking yaoi. People who are anti-yaoi, accept it. People who like yaoi, keep doing your thing. So don't let anyone ruin your fun and happiness, your fangirl squeals, loving the fanservice, whatever anda like, enjoy it. We live in a judgemental world with judgemental people, but that's doesn't mean anda gotta be one.
