Creak.... The branches of the trees groaned as they were pushed sejak the howling wind. The rumput rustled, the leaves shook, and the night time air was cold. But all was selamat, peti deposit keselamatan in a particular branch of a large pokok in the forest. Lychan and Hibi were asleep soundly, as they were used to the freezing weather. Richi, however, was being bothered sejak demons tormenting his dreams.
==========
His dream shifted once more. Another piercing scream rang, and an evil laughter joined the horrible sound. He couldn't see. A warm liquid traveled down from his forehead, and Richi could feel cuts and stab wounds all over. His vision cleared, and bodies were sprawled all over the ground, which was stained and splattered with blood everywhere. The room was dark, and blackness surrounded him on all sides. Frustration, sorrow, and anger built up in him all at once. How had his plan gone so horribly wrong? Richi fell to his knees, and the laughter rang once more.
How pathetic. Die, little one.
A swooshing sound was heard, and the scene faded again. But as fast as it went away, it came back, and he relived that same moment once more. The screams. The laughing. The dead bodies.
The voice.
How many times had he replayed this terrifying scene? How many times had he seen the bodies of his friends, still and broken on the ground? How many times had he heard the swooshing of the blade as it decapitated him again and again?
The dream faded once more, and he heard the scream again, even louder than before, and he woke up, free from his nightmare. Sweat had built up in small puddles on his forehead, and his heartbeat seemed to be beating at the speed of light. Richi closed his eyes, and focused on calming himself down. His heartbeat slowly returned to normal, and he wiped the sweat off of him. He leaned against the batang off the pokok and stared at the sky again for the billionth time. The full moon shone brightly in the night sky, and Richi felt lebih at peace because of this.
But something atau someone was determined to scare him out of his wits that night, and all too soon he heard a woman's voice in his mind. Clouds covered the moon quickly, and the sky became even darker. The woman's voice began speaking in an almost hypnotic tone, and recited a small prophecy of sorts:
A cry for help sounds out for thee,
To help them in their time of need.
For sacrifices will soon be made,
To cause all worlds to then be razed.
An ancient being will come back once more,
To settle a grudge and even the score.
For if not stopped then all is doomed,
sejak the meterai on the full moon.
The night sky brightened again will the moon uncovered, but it unsettled Richi. He was completely spooked sejak the prophecy he had just listened to. He knew what it was referring to, but he refused to believe it was coming back, nor did he want to even believe in that old myth. It just couldn't come back. It just couldn't.
Richi readjusted himself on the branch into a lebih comfortable position, and attempted sleep once more. As he slowly drifted off into peaceful dreams, he heard the last few lines of the prophecy once more, and felt uneasy before slipping away into his dreams.
For if not stopped then all is doomed.....
sejak the meterai on the full moon.
