I groaned, to tired to open my eyes. Was I dead? Probably not, because then I wouldn’t be hearing that stupid beeping that had been going on for a while. And to make it worse, the noise was just adding to the splitting headache that I had. “Rae? Are anda alive?” I heard all of a sudden. I opened my eyes to see Art and Robin standing at the foot of the hospital katil that I was on. “No, I’m dead.” I berkata sarcastically. “Sorry about the unexpected family reunion.” I berkata quietly. Then I quickly realized my mistake, “Oh, wait! I mean-“ Artemis cut me off, “It’s ok, he knows.” She motioned to Robin. “So where am I exactly? And where’s the rest of your team?” Robin answered that for me, “Justice League hospital. And the rest of the team is out on patrol. Joker, Harley and Sportsmaster all got away. And now that Joker knows where we are-“ I burst out into laughter. They both exchanged confused glances, then their eyes focused in on me. I looked back at them, “You actually thought I would tell him? Really, I’m not that stupid! I gave him the address to Belle Reve.” I berkata proudly. Then followed up with, “I told Tony through our com to have the guards there and waiting for them!” Their confused looks turned into astounded ones. “I’m a genious!” I berkata happily. All the excitement made my head hurt, I groaned again. “Oh yeah, about your head, it got banged up pretty bad in that fire, and Manhunter berkata that anda won’t be able to use your power for a while…” Artemis berkata sadly. I smiled and said, “Who berkata I wanted to use it?” That seemed to make Robin laugh.
There was a knock on the door, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, and Superboy all walked in. “We just heard Joker got checked in to Belle Reve.” Aqualad stated. “You’re welcome.” I berkata back. “Uh, thank you?” Kid Flash added. Miss Martian attempted a smile, “Sorry for, doubting you.” She admitted shyly. “It’s ok. Friends?” I asked. “Friends.” She answered and put on a full fledge smile and playfully elbowed Superboy. “Yeah, sorry.” He mumbled out. I sat up, “So Art, how’s Tony coping?” I asked. She just shrugged. “Wait, how are connected with this Tony guy? Is he your brother atau something?” Kid Flash asked. A lump in my throat developed, and I held back tears. Artemis kicked Kid Flash and whispered something into his ear. “Oh! Sorry! I didn’t mean-“ He started, then I cut him off. “No, it’s ok. He was Shane’s best friend, and about a tahun and a half lalu they got into this gang mess. There was this huge fight between the members, they had guns. A-and Shane tried to stop it. I was there to see the whole thing. I was only 13, and I’ve always been a bit too curious. So I decided to follow him the hari that it happened. And when he died, that’s when I started getting my powers. And at first I couldn’t control it. I would walk down the jalan and see and hear what everyone was thinking and feeling. I would see a dying man in the hospital and know exactly what he was thinking, and I couldn’t do anything about it.” I started to cry, not caring what everyone else was doing. Art came down to hug me. I sniffled and wiped away the tears.


After about 2 hours I was back on my feet, and now getting ready to leave. I hugged Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Artemis, and even Miss Martian, but left Superboy to be the solitary oyster he was. “Promise anda won’t tell?” Artemis pleadingly asked (Not sure if that made any sense, but whatever). “Art, why would I? Besides, I probably have lebih secrets than you.” I said. She raised an eyebrow, “Well, I would Cinta to hear all about them.” She added. I smirked at her and turned to go through the teleporter. “Sorry, but I don’t have any time to waste! Maybe later!” I berkata right before I was transported back to Gotham.
