why was Silver in summer school

During te prom episodes silver was not enrolled at west beverly so why did she have to got to summer school at west beverly.I mean it would make sense that she would be suspended at her other school.I wonder if the writers noticed that.

maybe it is because she had decided to go back to West Bev HS. and because she was at the party, she was required to go to summer school like all the other students there.

also between s1 and 2 the ppl in charge of the tunjuk changed and the new lady wanted to drop some things that had happened in s1 (which is why ethan is gone now)
