News of the pair\'s rumored relationship broke earlier this week.

NEW YORK, March 27 (UPI) -- Bella Thorne says rumored boyfriend Brandon Lee is really sweet.

The 17-year-old actress opened up about the 18-year-old son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in an interview with

"Brandon and I reconnected recently," she told host Nicolle Wallace and guest host Alicia Menendez. "We met during a breakup with my ex, and he\'s really sweet. His mom is so down to earth -- so cool. She\'s really raised two beautiful boys."

Thorne previously dated Tristan Klier for two years before breaking up in August 2014. Lee re-entered the spotlight earlier this month by accompanying Anderson to the Los Angeles premiere of

, and is older brother to 17-year-old Dylan Jagger Lee.
