Most people don't realize that there are different types of German Shepherds. They're all the same breed. They're just different lines, and they were all bred for different things. There are several lines around the world, but there are five basic kinds. I will include pictures. All information is from German Shepherd Guide and German Shepherd Man on YouTube.
1. West German tunjuk Line
This line is the most popular line in Germany. They were bred to conform to certain standards which require them to have health clearances for hips and elbows and a working tajuk in order to be bred. They have a specific look that's usually uniform, a black and red coloring. The black on the back often resembles a saddle.
2. American and Canadian tunjuk Line
These Anjing have been popular in North America since the 1970's. They are intended to conform strictly to the standards set sejak their respective kennel clubs. As anda can see, unlike their European counter parts, they have sloping backs. While they can make good family pets, they are not the best working dogs, and they're really not bred for health. This isn't the case for the Canadian lines, but for American lines, a lot of the Anjing were bred to be bigger, but German Shepherds aren't meant to be huge. They're not meant to be 130 pounds. That's not good!
3. West German Working Line
These Anjing are berkata to be the closest to the original German Shepherd bred sejak Max von Stephanitz, the founder of the breed. The focus is telah diberi to correct working structure, solid temperament, and especially to correct strong working drives and ability. These Anjing excel in many jobs and can make great family pets for active families.
4. East German Working Line
These Anjing were developed after World War II. After Germany perpecahan, berpecah into East Germany and West Germany, the government in East Germany regulated the breeding of these dogs. Rigid control of these bloodlines resulted in a very distinct look. They have big block heads and a large bone structure. They are known for being very sound dogs, but work drives do vary. Some are always on, and some are lebih laid back. They tend to have dark pigments, unlike other Eastern European lines. Like other Eastern European lines, they are valued for their phenomenal genetics and temperament. They're gentle giants, if anda will. They usually range about 95-100 pounds.
5. Czech Working Line
These Anjing originated in former Czechoslovakia. They were built on a foundation of working Anjing primarily used for border patrol. They tend to be very intense and agile dogs. They have fewer health and temperament issues than most German Shepherds and today, they are uncommon, but they're used primarily as police Anjing and family pets.
There are also combinations of different working and tunjuk line German Shepherds. My German Shepherd, Hansel, is a combination of West German and Czech working lines. His father was bred from West German and Czech import lines, and his mother is 100 percent West German. I hope anda enjoyed Membaca this article. Would anda like to see an artikel on the German Shepherd colors? If so, let me know in the comments.

This is a special request from Kayla. I'm sorry about what you've been going through recently. I understand how you're feeling right now, as I miss doing my usual daily schedule too. It sucks, honestly.
However, I just want to remind anda once again that I and the rest of your Fanpop Friends are here for you, no matter what. I know this virus will not last forever and that we'll eventually overcome this. Like all good things, all bad things must come to an end.
And as the saying goes, "There's a light at the end of the tunnel." Remember that!
Peace and love,
