Stelena peminat-peminat say that a Delena endgame is impossible because in the pilot episode of the series, Stefan narrates, saying that the tunjuk is HIS story. Does this theory have any merit?

really..WTF does it matter if it's "stefan's story" atau if he narrates it? sure it started out with "this is my story" but it will end with "this is my story of how my girlfriend that i fell in Cinta with cuz she looked like my 1st girlfriend, ended up falling in Cinta with my brother."

I think that the series began with his story.. Later it also shows Elena Penulisan in her diary narrating her story.. During the series we have seen the stories of all characters..

Here's something from an interview Julie did for TV.com atau TVline. The reporter asked her when did she know what she wanted TVD to be, was there a moment that clicked for her?

She answered that she and Kevin got the job late in the game, they wrote the Pilot and it got picked up, and then they were Penulisan S1; so they never had a chance to talk about what they wanted the tunjuk to be. In the first couple of episodes they knew they had to set the 'key relationships' in motion. And when they were Penulisan 1x03, Kevin called her and pitched the Damon-Stefan storyline where Stefan was upset that Damon was using Caroline, and then Damon kills Coach Tanner. And then at the end of the episode, we see Damon standing at Elena's bedside watching her sleep. "And when Kevin pitched that to me, I felt like a tug in my chest, like, oh my God, this is important. This is important. This triangle, this duality of this character, the relationship between these brothers, what each one stands for and how it's all going to center around this girl - is so important."

That, and the moment when Elena goes to see Stefan and asks outright "What are you?" are the two defining moments when Julie suddenly knew what she wanted the tunjuk to be. The pilot and Stefan's story/narrative didn't figure in it at all. So the Pilot was obviously not important to her. She and Kevin wrote it in a rush, and they didn't see the tunjuk as essentially 'Stefan's story'. It's obviously not meant to be a sign as to who will dictate endgame.

I agree with what anda say. But even if anda took the story as "Stefan's story" (and there is no sign of that exclusiveness), it is described how he fell in Cinta with a girl and what they had to go through together, until she fell for his brother and how Stefan had to deal with that. I think that the journey of all three main characters is shown and how they reach the best version of themselves; and while Damon needs to find true Cinta and acceptance from others for who he really is, what he gets only from Elena, Elena needs to get back to her true self, happy and wild like she was before her parents died. And now that Damon acts on his good hati, tengah-tengah and found a way to control himself, while Elena grew up and moved on, Stefan needs to find a way for redemption and self-acceptance, and Delena being together is another obstacle, because he needs Damon who is the only one who gets Stefan close to control. But all that works for the story, Cinta is not Stefan's way of finding what he needs, and a DE endgame doesn't mean that Stefan can't reach happiness - after his (part of the) story.

It's was Rose's story too but she still didn't end up with Jack. It can be his story but it doesn't have to be his girl.

maybe it was Stefan's story in the beginning of season 1 but not anymore, it's their story(Elena, Stefan and Damon's)... for example look at how season 4 started?

No, because the writers quickly dropped that narrating device. And the rest of the tunjuk tells us otherwise, ofcourse.

no. it was Stefan's story and his story was that he fell in Cinta with Katherine came back to Mystic falls and fell in Cinta with a girl who looked exactly like her and in the end she chose Damon.

I was under the impression that the tunjuk was the story of a girl who had Lost her parents and was basically depressed, and having to find herself again. I mean Julie Plec berkata that Elena IS the hati, tengah-tengah and soul of the show.. What would TVD be without Elena? There would be no purpose for the 'love triangle' But i always thought that it was the story of Elena losing her parents and then gradually but slowly falling in Cinta with Damon, while with Stefan...AND praying that the last episode goes 'And that is where the story ends' Hahaha it was Stefan's diaries being published sejak Damon and Elena. That would be great 'This is my story' and then he ends dying.. So that's where his story ends. But that'll never happen.. A Girl can dream. It has never been his story. It's Elena's. She's the protagonist... It never has been his story just like Stelena were never the Cinta story of the show.. What Cinta story just happens? Cinta stories are based on journey, and we all know Stelena never had a build up.
