Hi guys, I managed to see the 2017 reboot of Beauty and the Beast despite the initial boycott over the alleged gay moment for the Malaysian release, as I promise here is my review on the awesome classic!
The Story-Line
While the majority of the film is the same, I was very happy with a number of changes. Like we get to know lebih about Belle's and the Beast/ Prince Adam's backstory. To which I will write lebih about in another artikel soon. Speaking of the Enchantress, I always thought that it is the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!
The Prologue gives lebih details than the 1991 version, which we never understood since then. But, thank goodness for that!
I was also happy that Lefou became so disillusion with Gaston as the story progresses, ultimately swapping sides.
The Songs & Musical Scores
Many of the songs that we hear in the film, are very familiar from both the 1991 film and the Broadway version. Especially during the scene where Belle gets to see her room in the istana, castle for the first time, they play an instrumental version of utama from the Broadway version of the animated feature!
3 new songs are feature in this film, and I immediately fell in Cinta with them. Like Lily James, I was really amazed that her Downton Abbey costar Dan Stevens could really sing, including Emma Watson despite that there were allegations on auto-tunes. If it was, Emma would not have taken exclusive Singing lessons with Paige O Hara, the actress who provided the voice for Emma's animated counterpart.
If anda ask me, I absolutely adore Celine Dion and I was happy that she was asked to come back to sing a brand new song. In fact, everybody in the cinema hall including myself sang the famous tajuk song!
The Characters
I was very happy that the beast has lebih character development, he also had a very similar experience with Belle because both never saw their mother ever again during their childhood. He also helps Belle to know lebih about the reason why Maurice did not want to tell Belle about what happen to her, sadly she passed on during the plague!
Prince Adam's father was very bad man, according to Mrs Potts. At that point, I feel bad for him, but one thing I was very happy that he has lebih interaction with Belle in this version.
Tale As Old As Time
So there anda have, if anda haven't seen it, go ahead and watch it!

Tale As Old As Time
So there anda have, if anda haven't seen it, go ahead and watch it!
They Should Make a Vampire Princess
I personally think Disney should take the challenge to make a vampire princess, I mean we already have The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, The Twilight Saga and Anne Rice's vampire stories!
They could make the antagonist inspired from Elizabeth Bathory, in which she is a vain vampire throughout the movie!
The Shouldn't Make a Vampire Princess
It will probably intimidate young children, unless the directors watch Hotel Transylvania for inspiration to make it lebih family friendly.
Secondly, I hope that the movie is not going to be like the Twilight Saga.
Vampire atau Not?
I have always wanted to see a vampire princess for a change, do anda agree?
Childhood Sweethearts
Okay, this was my first reason on why Gaston insists on marrying Belle. The fact that he comes from an arrogant and snobbish family, he has this arrogance stuck in his head and Belle initially thought him as handsome from young until they grew up that Belle saw the light in him that he has a supersized ego and grew out of it!
Arrogance!
As mentioned, Gaston has a supersized ego due to his body build thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger! He reminds me of a High School bully atau Brom Bones from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Speaking of him, maybe Brom Bones and Gaston are cousins atau close friends!
Do anda Agree?
Another Disney Doppelganger moment, do anda agree that Brom Bones and Gaston are relatives atau close Friends atau is it???
