	Mermaid-Tail picked Ariel would defeat Ursula instead of Eric: I think the main difference would be they'd put more emphasis on Ariel leaving the sea because she wanted to, not for Eric. I know we are made aware she wants to leave the sea before knowing him (in fact one of the movies biggest songs is about her wanting to leave and she sings it before seeing him) but once she does see Eric it's never really mentioned again that leaving the sea was about her not him, so it's easy to see him as her biggest motivation. I think these days her wanting to leave for herself would be made more clear, which, as much as I like the original, might be nice. posted hampir setahun yang lalu.

Also I think they might have Urula and Triton as Brother and sister. However, the second she sees Eric, he immediately becomes the sole focus on her wanting to be human. Persephone713, enjoy the Broadway show, it's wonderful. I won't spoil it for you but in that version, the way Ariel defeats Ursula isn't all that special...I'd like to see her do something really courageous. posted hampir setahun yang lalu.

In Enchanted, Giselle held a sword. In The Princess and the Frog, Tiana smashed that whatcha-ma-call-it. Yeah, I guess the humor would be more in your face too. 	Mermaid-Tail picked Ariel would defeat Ursula instead of Eric: Yeah but that's not why people dislike Melody. There are popular heroines who save the day in their movies, like Mulan and Pocahontas. In my experience people dislike Melody because Disney had obviously put way less effort into her than they would for a character from an original movie & she was annoying. Well, I guess also because people tend to dislike her movie in general, and what it did to poor Ariel's character and story, and it's hard to like even a good character in a bad movie. Even if they had put more effort into making Melody not suck (no offence to her fans) it would be hard for her to get popular no matter what she did. posted hampir setahun yang lalu.
