I think singing is a bit more important because those are one of the things that are extremely marketed marketed when it comes to the DP's. Jasmine is not the protagonist, Aurora is not really, and Belle is debatable as well. If they planned on adding Jane, and had Esmeraalda and Tinkerbell in the franchise for a bit, then this does not really matter either.

I can't believe being a fairy tale left already. disney built his empire making movies based off those and stories.
