Is there going to be a fourth book?

Originally The Inheritance Cycle was going to be a trilogy, but, while Penulisan the beginning of Brisingr, he realized there was going to have to be an extra hundred pages, which made Empire (what it was going to be called) too big, so he perpecahan, berpecah it in half and created the cycle, Brisingr, and the fourth book, instead of a trilogy and Empire.

yeah it says in the back of the third book that he is Penulisan the fourth book as he couldn't fit it all in 3..

Yes, there will be a fourth book.
At first, Paolini intended to write only three, the last one named Empire, but he wrote to much and changed the original storyline, so he wrote two books: Brisingr (third book) and Inheritance(fourth book, which is not out yet while I am Penulisan this, but will be in November 2011).
