Frozen Soalan

How could Hans lock the door where he left Anna, when anda could only lock doors from the inside?

I totally just figured this soalan out when I was watching the movie... for somewhat the fifteenth time. Is there some sort of door in which anda could lock it from the outside?

This particular scene also happened in Cinderella, am I right? So, I'm really wondering how this is possible...

Most doors can be locked from both sides (bathroom/toilet doors being the exception). For example, I can lock my back door from the inside and the outside.

Wait, but... if Hans locked it from the outside, why can't Anna open it from the inside?

Because Hans took the key.

Key atau not, she was weak and would most likely have died had Olaf not arrived and telah diberi her the warmth and hope to carry on.

In the olden days, keys unlocked doors from either sides, but in order to unlock the door, you'd need the key. And in that case, Hans took it.
