It was called 'Game of Thrones' George R.R. Martin wants 'Outlander's' Tobias Menzies back too - Zap2it | News & Features
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

Game of Thrones has been added to your favorites.
It\'s no secret that George R.R. Martin and Diana Gabaldon are close friends. That\'s why it didn\'t come as a surprise to see that the man behind "Game of Thrones" wrote a whole blog post on his LiveJournal about how great he thinks Starz\'s adaptation of Gabaldon\'s "Outlander" series is.
But beyond praising the show ("a terrific TV series") and stars Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and Tobias Menzies ("the performances ... are terrific"), Martin admits he misses the "especially noteworthy" Menzies as Edmure Tully on "Game of Thrones."
"I just hope we\'ll be able to get him back, if and when [showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] decide to return to the riverlands," he writes.
Edmure was last seen in "Game of Thrones" in the ninth episode of Season 3, right before his sister Catelyn Stark and her son Robb were murdered by the Freys at the Red Wedding. When Zap2it last spoke to Menzies about whether he\'d be returning to the show, he said he imagines Edmure is "languishing in a prison somewhere."

It likely "Game of Thrones" will revisit Edmure and the Freys at some point before the end of the series, especially since Walder Frey is one of the most hatable people in the entire show. If even Martin wants Menzies back on the show, hopefully he can pull some strings to make it happen.
The fact Gabaldon has a former "Thrones" actor on her show isn\'t the only thing Martin is slightly jealous of. He quips: "Diana got 16 episodes for one novel, two eight-episode half-seasons, which had me gnashing my teeth in envy ... until I remembered that OUTLANDER has no dragons, direwolves, or ice zombies, and so far no major battles either. Though, if I recall my history, that will be coming ... the battles, that is, not the dragons."
"Game of Thrones" airs its Season 5 finale on Sunday. June 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. "Outlander" is currently shooting Season 2, which is slated to premiere in 2016 on Starz.
