Yes, they used to live in Syria, but now they are commonly known to be pets, although they still live in Syria. My Friends hamster took Makanan and stacked up Makanan to 'survive the winter' even though it lives in a cage! I have a hamster, and I think they a wonderful pets to anyone who is considering getting a hamster.
