HARRY STYLES' GRANDMOTHER DIES 

Des Styles, the father of 1D star Harry, confirmed that Harry\'s grandmother Beryl died this week. The One Direction singer flew back to London for his Nanny\'s funeral before returning to LAX. Once in LA, he was mobbed by Directioners who did not know about his family tragedy. But One Direction fans are trying to make it up to him by trending #RIPNannyS and #STOPMOBBINGOURBOYS on Twitter early Saturday.

Harry Styles’ grandmother Beryl has passed away, according to the singer’s father, Des. She was 86 years old. One Direction fans are now supporting their idol on Twitter with the hashtag #RIPNannyS.

As some of you worked out, Nanny S passed away. H and Gem came to funeral yesterday which was lovely & private. They both gone to LA now. X

Thanks for all the messages. Mum was 86 and poorly a long time so it was coming but still sad when it does.  She is at peace now though. X

Indeed, it seems Beryl Styles’ heath had been in decline for quite some time. She was hospitalized early last year, when Harry made headlines for coming to visit her.

Before her death, Nanny Beryl Styles was clearly proud of her grandson. A few months before her passing, Des noted that Harry’s grandmother loved getting messages from Directioners.

 “Nanny S loves H being famous and that fans send good wishes to her,” Des Styles wrote on Twitter in December. “She can\'t understand the Twitter properly but loves messages. Thanks! X.”

And Nanny Styles also loved her grandson. A few years before her death, Harry revealed that his grandmother gave him the “birds and the bees” talk.

“My grandma gave me one [the sex talk] three weeks ago,” Harry Styles said in 2012. “It was just too much. It was about three weeks ago. I was like, ‘You can just stop there!’”

The news of Nanny Styles’ death comes shortly after Harry was mobbed by fans at LAX. Styles was surrounded by Directioners at the airport upon his return from London Friday night. Many of these young ladies were apparently at LAX expecting the arrival of Five Seconds of Summer, so Styles’ appearance was a welcome surprise. Little did they know that Styles was returning from his grandmother’s funeral.

Many Directioners thus felt bad when they found out the real reason Harry Styles was in the airport Friday night. The hashtag #STOPMOBBINGOURBOYS also trended on Twitter early Saturday as Directioners slammed those who bothered Styles during his time of mourning.

Directioners also trended the Twitter hashtag #RIPNannyS early Saturday morning as news of the death of Harry Styles’ grandmother spread.
