Get ready, horror fans, because 2016 is going to be one thrilling year! With the new year comes a slew of new, scary movies. While some months don’t have any horror films due to be released — we’re talking about you, March! — and information regarding official release dates towards the later half of the year are scarce, it’s clear 2016 is going to be a blockbuster year for horror films. Below are 16 films scheduled to come out this year, which is enough nail-bitting features sure to scare even the biggest horror junkies.

The highly anticipated film is based on Seth Grahame-Smith\'s book, which is a retelling of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice.” The twisted tale follows couples from different class systems in 19th century England as they fight for their love and survival. Lily James and Lena Headey star.

Kiss your sweet dreams goodbye! This Johannes Roberts’ film follows a grieving mother who uses an ancient ritual to say goodbye to her late son, upsetting the delicate balance of life and death.

Horror fans are getting another installment of the Amityville horror story in 2016, thanks to director Franck Khalfoun. This installment will follow a single mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who moves into the haunted abode to care for her sick son (Cameron Monaghan), unknowing of its deadly past. Bella Thorne also stars.

Jason Vorrhees is back to haunt your dreams. The 2016 installment is directed by David Bruckner. 

Patrick Wilson and Vera Fermiga are back as Lorraine and Ed Warren in the second installment of “The Conjuring.” The sequel will follow the Hudgson family in Enfield, London, as they battle supernatural forces in their home.
