Not a peminat of him, but I hate spoons and I'll say why, so I hope it will help. Half of my family had very bad hygiene (would not wash their hands) and ate with a teaspoon, then I would think of the spoon as contaminated and never touch it again. I assumed that teaspoons were disgusting and covered with germs... so I never eat with them. I can eat with every kind of spoon but a teaspoon, unless it is completely new and hasn't been used before. A Google cari and it seems that Liam has the very similar reason - he thinks they are dirty.
