they never berkata that everyone died on the first episode. in fact, if anda listen to what christian shephard told jack, he also says the same thing. they all died at different periods but created that "world" so that they could find each other after dying and "move on" together. cause ultimately, thats what matters. the people they were and how their experiences and relationships shaped their journey in life. not the island. which is why the ending was so open ended.
