.Exfoliating is key: The secret to the perfect fake tan. When skin is covered in dead skin cells, self tanner will stick to them and you’ll end up with an uneven, blotchy tan! It’s best to begin exfoliating a couple days prior to self tanning, to mostly rid your skin of dead skin cells. anda should always use different exfoliators for your face and body since the skin is completely different. Use a specified face exfoliator for your face, I use one sejak Bioelements, but Burt’s Bee’s also makes a great one at a fraction of the price. As for your body: anda should either completely dry brush before every shower, use a DIY mixture to be applied in the pancuran, pancuran mandian (here’s what I do), atau buy a body exfoliating product (Fresh makes a great one). anda should exfoliate every time anda plan on using self tanner to get the most even, perfect results.
.Protect! Self tanner likes to stick to places like your feet, ankles, knees, elbows, hands, and make them all look darker than the rest of your skin ie: look dirtier! Use a moisturizer on your feet, knees, elbows, before self tanning them so the tanner doesn’t stick as much. For your hands, use a tanning mitt. That way your hands don’t look like carrots and your keseluruhan tan will look lebih even!
.Give it time: Self tanner needs a while to soak into the skin, so try to go as long as possible without going to katil atau pilling on clothes. To speed up the process and even help the color look better, use a blow dryer on its lightest setting to go over your entire body and help it dry faster. I like to apply the self tanner in the evening and wait 4 atau 5 hours until I’m ready to go to bed, I then pancuran, pancuran mandian off the excess product and heavily moisturize my skin. That way I don’t get tanner all over my white sheets!
.Make it last: Self tanner will last longer on skin that is always moisturized and hydrated. This means to layer on lotions in the morning, heavier creams at night, and to drink plenty of water.
.The face: Always, always, always exfoliate and moisturize your face prior to self tanning it. That is the best, easiest way to get an even tan that doesn’t look too fake! anda can even use a separate self tanner for your face if anda prefer, one that is lebih gradual thus fool proof. Also, I always use my hands to apply self tanner to my face. That way I can get into all of tiny spaces and gently rub it into my hair, making it look mo
