In 2006, Jackson attended several awards and honors. The first was the tribute held in May 2006 on MTV Japan, for the award of the Video Muzik Awards Jepun '06. In this award, Jackson received the Legend Award - rarely designed to somebody - because of his being a male artist international best-selling in Japan, a legend of music.
