After leaving him a cute li\'l voicemail the other day, Niall Horan sat down for a proper interview with his DJ pal Eoghan over at RTE2fm this week, producing what turned out to be a whole 24 minutes of magical Irish words. 

Nialler opened up about everything One Direction related, from dealing with fame to being pals with Simon Cowell, as well as spilling his plans for the big hiatus - and they involve balls. Lots of balls.

Revealing what he\'s gonna be getting up to while Louis tries his hand at the music bizz, Niall explained: "It\'s just gonna be nice, simple things like going home. I was home once since Christmas, so it\'s just going to be nice to go and see everyone that I haven\'t seen for a while." 

He won\'t be spending the whole break in sunny, exotic Mullingar though, as Niall also went on to say: "I want to do a little bit of travelling, see the places that I\'ve been in but I haven\'t seen properly and thought \'I\'d like to go back there\'." 

El Horanzo\'s got a few ball-based plans up his sleeve too, because he\'s gonna be hitting the golf course as often as he can to swing his long, hard stick around the place in his free time. 

"By the end of next year I\'d like to be a low single figures golfer," Niall spilled. "I\'d like to be in some sort of good shape, physically working out – not ripped but better than I am now like."

The boys are still reluctant to put a date on when they\'ll actually be back, but Niall confirmed for the fifty millionth time that this definitely ISN\'T the end of One Direction, alright?

"We haven\'t even stuck a date on it. We\'ve always been quite bad at the whole planning side of things. We\'ll probably just have a conversation in six months and just go \'Shall we go at it again then, is everyone rested enough?\'

And what about the ghosts of One Direction past? Yep, we mean Zayn Malik, and although it\'s got the potential to be a bit of an awkward conversation, Niall reckons that his decision to leave was totally understandable.

"Towards the end you could see that he wasn\'t enjoying it as much as he did, and his heart wasn\'t in it as much as he wanted it to be," Niall said. "I can\'t really put a finger on it."

Putting the rumours to rest, he went on: "There was never any arguments or disagreements or anything like that.  I think he just kind of fell out of love with it in the end.

"He\'s happy now, we\'re happy, everything\'s worked out. It\'s actually brought the rest of us closer together."
