Once Upon A Time Soalan

Are Snow and Charming too late?

Well, too late in the sense of being parents to Emma? When you've had parents all your life, you're going to need them to be there for anda even as an adult. But when you've been alone all your life and have had to go it alone all the time anda don't have that parental bond with them when you've grown up. Emma has been alone, has had to learn about life on her own. She needs support, yes, but she doesn't need parents anymore. With Emma's personality, it seems to me that she's chafing with her parents there. Parents who are treating her like someone who's had someone there for her all her life. The friendship bond between Snow and Emma in the first season seemed like it was exactly what Emma needed and she was comfortable with that. She's not entirely happy with two people coming in and Berlakon the parents that Emma has learned to live without. Everyone needs family but Emma is at the stage where she doesn't need parental guidance.

Snow and Charming are desperate to be parents to Emma and are trying to fill that role, but that role no longer exists in Emma's life. They're trying too hard and it's just pushing her away. Now, the best they can hope for is the role of a supportive friend. They're too late to be parents to her, if they were to have that they needed to be there when she actually needed them - when she was a child.

I wouldn't say they too late to be parents. anda are never too old to benefit from the unconditional Cinta of your parents. They are just too late to be the type of parent they want to be. The kind that shelter and protect their daughter from any potential danger. They need to come to terms with the fact that Emma is not a child but and adult and be there when she needs help but also let her make her own choises and support them when she does. It's a transfer that every parent most learn to do when their children become adults. It takes some longer then others but if anda don't want to lose them it has to happen.

That's a nice way of putting it. She needs the Cinta of a parent, not the guidance of them.

That's a great summery. My parents were pretty phenomenal when it came to being a parent to an adult and I Cinta and apreseate them lebih then I did as a child because of it. So I know it can work.

I'm not saying they don't. But what I'm trying to say is that Emma just doesn't need the parents they are trying to be. She needed them as a child, as all children do, but she's not a child anymore. She needs close, supportive friends, but she doesn't have the necessary parental bond with them - they're still very much strangers to her.

I think they are to be honest, they can still be parent figures but I think they are lebih like Friends to her. Like with Henry, Emma gave him up and she still isn't a good mother but Regina had experience and knows how to be a mother at least. I know that Snow and Charming do try but they aren't any good at it, as Emma berkata "We're the same age" "We have the same amounts of wisdom" so if people are the same age as anda they don't know any better than anda and it would just be so awkward.

i do think they're too late to be the protective and shelter type of parents who do what they can to shelter their child from danger cause emma is all grown up and can fight for herself and others. at the same time however, they can still offer guidance and support for her. i think maybe in this case, it might be better that they act lebih like emma's partners and Friends then her parents cause for one thing they're the same age so its kinda weird to see them parent someone who's the same age as them. again they can offer guidance and support and can help teach her their fighting skills to improve her own but they shouldnt feel the need to shelter atau protect her from danger cause she's clearly able to defend for herself what with being a bail bondsman, a sherriff and the savior
