One Tree Hill's creator Mark Schwahn filmed three additional cliffhangers after they wrapped season 8 finale, which won't air until the season 9 premier if picked up. 822 gives closure to all the fans in case its an actual series finale.
Season 9 will consist of 13 episodes mid-season.
The cliffhangers include Alex/Chase, Quinn/Clay and Brooke/Julian.
Alex gets an urgent call that has to do with Chase over seas, his plane went down and is now considered MIA.
Quinn collapses at the beach house which frightens Clay and it puts him in a similar situation. The speculation is that Quinn will be diagnosed with leukemia which will be a huge storyline that will run throughout the course of season 9 for Quinn/Clay, Quinn and Haley.
One of Brooke and Julian’s twin boys ends up really sick with a life threatening infection.

I don't like it because we all know they're all gonna be OK in the end... They need to give Haley a different storyline than sickness of her family... First Lydia, then Quinn and Clay got shot, and now Quinn with leukemia??? Come on!

And that would just bring Clay and Quinn closer together, they are too perfect.... they never fight or disagree, they need some love drama, no more hospitals for them...

^ Completely agree. Mark does realize that there ARE other things to write... other than illnesses, and possible deaths, right? NEWS FLASH MARK- "death" doesn't automatically equal good writing. Make some effort! Seeing those storylines over, and over (only changing the illnesses from character to character) doesn't do anything, other than make the show seem even more repetitive, and unrealistic.

Not to mention that we ALREADY see too much of Quinn. I'll be damned if she's about to get a CANCER storyline. Might as well say bye-bye to all the other character's screentime!

If these are the "great plans" that Sophia was talking about in her tweets... I'm not impressed.

i highley doubt quinn will get sick well atleast not that seriously... I wouldnt mind if her and clay get engaged or pregnant some time soon :)
