If you've read The Picture of Dorian Gray, please help me!

I'm making an essay about the book and I wanted to quote an excert, only I can't find it. It is the part he says that when you're asleep anda can live in a perfect and fantastic world, and as anda wake up and everything around anda starts taking form, anda have to go back to your routine and go on from where anda had stopped yesterday. He says it would be better if each hari was independent of the other and we could just bintang over and do something new every day. If anda know the page atau at least the chapter please tell me!
