What you just read were the bones of Tuesday’s premiere. Now, we’re getting to the meat: my deepest, most important thoughts and observations about this Brave New Rosewood in which we’re living…

* “I’m Andy Swift, and I approve of Veronica Hastings running for Senate.”

* Speaking of Spencer’s mom, did all of the parents get hot(ter), or am I still seizing out from that two-minute #Freeform promo at the top of the episode.

* I don’t know which moment I loved more: the reveal of Radley’s big makeover, or the look on Spencer’s face when she thought those four high-school girls were getting a spooky text. (“It’s the ciiiiircle of liiiiife.”)

* I’m sad that Ezra is so dead inside now, but I have to admit, I’m really excited to see him go Muppet-crazy like in that promo where he screams at the girls.

* Of all the fractured couples on this show right now, I’m putting my money on Spencer and Toby getting back together next. They may have fallen “out of sync,” but something tells me that spending this next half-season together is going to push them right back in.

* And that final Hanna/Caleb scene wins the award for Most Heartbreaking. You could have cut the sexual tension in that hotel room with a

I wasn’t expecting Charlotte’s death in the slightest bit, and giving her a recreation of Ali’s funeral — complete with Sara Harvey as the sort-of new Jenna — was brilliant. I always hated the Aria is A theories, but now that things have come full circle and we’ve got a new A, I’m all for Aria being A.

Spencer and Toby didn’t seem broken up at all.

I’m actually sad about Charlotte. Why does nothing good ever happen in Rosewood’s church?! I knew it would be Sara walking in. She’s creepy.

I called Cece’s death as soon as the episode started. I was just thinking of what the new mystery could possibly be and it would have to be something huge to keep all of the girls in Rosewood, and I just had a feeling Cece would die somehow. That said, my predictions on this show have turned out to be wildly inaccurate in the past, so I was still shocked that I was right! Can’t wait to see what happens next…

What I’ve learned since first coming to TVLine about 4 years ago is If you hover over a title on this website, the title of it is usually not the same as the one that appears on the site. If you look at the link the page takes you to, the spoiler is in the link title in your browser. Also, for reasons I’ve never understood, when TVLine spoiler/premiere/season finale info shows up in the Google News section on Google, it ALWAYS shows the spoiler as the title of the article.

Long story short, I learned long ago that if I want to visit TVLine after they’ve posted something about a show I watch (or haven’t watched yet but want to), to scroll by it quickly before I accidentally hover over the article link. Or just ignore the site all together until the next day (which is really hard BTW).

I felt the same. A strong one at that. Cool, a little tension between liars is good, right?

I do hope that Toby & Spencer get back together. So many people on twitter were theorizing that the house he was building was actually for her, (which I can get with that vibe as Spencer was sad panda that she only got a chair), but I did get some intense Spencer x Caleb vibe, which I don’t necessarily mind, but I feel like that is such a mess, and I really want Spencer and Toby to work it out, and Spencer and Hanna’s relationship to not be so strained, like I imagine it would be. I just hope it’s one of those ‘fake you out’ moments and Spencer and Caleb are up to some non nc17 things.

Is Emily on drugs? she had about 10 different pills and something that looked like injections in her little purse. Also why is Ali calling her husband Dr Rollins instead of his first name? its creepy :/

She’s popping pills at least maybe injecting too. I don’t think Ali is married to the doctor.

Definitely saw Charlotte’s murder coming…because when the actress first appeared on PLL, she was completely unknown, but she is now a regular on Blue Bloods and needs to focus on that.

I loved this show the first few episodes. After that it just got ridiculous!! You stretched the A thing out wayyyyy toooo long. To the point it became for me, uninteresting!! You got two seasons left!!! Im vested!! But not for your good. All I sayin. Not to the point Im not let down and at this point. I feel so let down!!

I know I’m in the minority but I’d love for Spencer and Caleb to get together.

While I prefer Haleb 1000x more, I could get used to a Spaleb pairing!

How about how the first half of the season ended with the girls coming to Ali’s classroom and saying “he’s coming!” “We have to go!” or something of that nature. Will that ever be referenced??? But I did enjoy the episode.

I forget what the girls did to Sarah. Wasn’t Sarah helping Charlotte? I’m not sure I’m up for another cat and mouse game with the girls. Seems like its all been done already. Anyone else feel that way?
