Because of order of operations. The correct answer isn't one, but that's what anda get without order of operations.

Multiplication:

3x0 = 0

7-4+(0)+1=?


Addition:

0+1= 1

7-4+(1)=?


Subtraction:

7-4= 3

(3)+(1)= 4

^ Which means the answer is possibly 4. But then again, I was thinking it could be 2 because if all addition comes first, it shouldn't be 7-4, but 4+(3x0) atau 4+(0). So the answer COULD be 2.

But whatever, I guess the answer can be whatever anda want.

It's four! So obviously it's not as simple as anda thought. But anda did make a common mistake, anda just forgot order of operations. anda multiply first.

Brackets > exponents > division > multiplication > addition > subtraction.

anda have to solve the equation in that order.

So deal with multiplication first 3x0 =0
Then addition is next, so anda have 7+1=8
Then subtraction last 8-4= 4

Answer is 4

Some of anda should really pay attention in math class :L

No you're not, I make this mistake too. I'm just laughing at everyone who got ,1 and is calling everyone se stupid. It's a common mistake. That's why anda see these everywhere. It's a skill people learn in elementary/ middle school, so people tend to forget it.

Addition comes before subtraction, so wouldn't anda add the 4 and 1 together? Idk, maybe it is 4 and I'm just tired.


EDIT: Yeah, it's 4. anda would do it from left to right because all that was left was addition and subtraction.

A-Addition S-Subtraction

First comes Multiplication- 3x0=0

Since the rest is addition/ subtraction, we do the rest going from left to right.

7-4=3
3+1=4

The trick of the equation is order of operations, which so many people fail to do.

(Without Order of Operations the answer is 1)
