How to respond to pfff, lol, XD?

I hate it when people do that. It's hard to respond to stuff like that.

anda could probably try to tell your friend to try and be a little lebih chatty atau contribute lebih to the conversation.

I have seen it happening a lot. It depends on the subject you're talking about. There are times when people might not know how to respond exactly to a certain kind of soalan atau comment. It's an awkward situation so they reply as simple as they can. Of course there is always the possibility that they might not feel like talking, being busy atau not feeling well so they will try to end the conversation with something like that. When anda ask your friend a soalan try to do it in a way that a lebih legit answer is required atau just simply ask him to be lebih descriptive. To tell anda what he/she thinks !!!!
