Die Hard 3
(1995) R
Bruce Willis is back and kicking bad-guy butt as New York detective John McClane in the third installment of this action-packed series, which finds him teaming with civilian Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson) to prevent the loss of innocent lives. McClane thought he'd seen it all, until a genius named Simon (Jeremy Irons) engages McClane, his new "partner" -- and his beloved city -- in a deadly game that demands their concentration.

The Long Kiss Goodnight
(1996) R
Samantha Caine (Geena Davis) can't remember anything before the day she woke up eight years ago, injured and two months pregnant. Now a schoolteacher with only vague memories of the past, she starts to exhibit bizarre, violent impulses. It's only after hiring two-bit private detective Mitch Hennessey (Samuel L. Jackson) that she discovers that she was once a top CIA assassin named Charley -- and that her old boss has kept tabs on her.

Changing Lanes
(2002) R
Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson star in this intense drama about an egocentric attorney and a recovering alcoholic salesman whose lives dangerously collide when their cars crash on a New York expressway. After the accident, corrupt lawyer Gavin Banek (Affleck) discovers he's left behind an important file with the other driver, Doyle Gibson (Jackson). But soon anger erupts, and a vengeful game of one-upmanship threatens to ruin them both.

Lakeview Terrace
(2008) PG-13
Director Neil LaBute's taut thriller follows the Mattsons -- Chris (Patrick Wilson) and Lisa (Kerry Washington) -- as they settle into their Los Angeles dream house, only to be hassled by their off-kilter neighbor, police officer Abel Turner (Samuel L. Jackson). It seems Turner disapproves of the couple's interracial marriage and is determined to drive them away, but as the harassment turns violent, the newlyweds are forced fight back.

Amos & Andrew
(1993)
When renowned African-American playwright Andrew Sterling (Samuel L. Jackson) moves into an all-white suburb, his suspicious new neighbors mistake him for a burglar and promptly call the police. When Sterling's identity becomes clear, the police plan a hasty cover-up, duping low-class crook Amos Odell (Nicolas Cage) into taking Sterling "hostage." Racial stereotypes get skewered 1990s style in this satire from director E. Max Frye (Palmetto).
