Supernatural. Season 2 episode 1. What goes on between the demon and john?

John summons the demon and makes a reference to sam, probably about the dark side right? But they make a deal to get Dean back with the gun and something else the demon wanted really bad. At first I thought he wanted the reaper. But then he killed john. What did he want with john? atau what was the deal supposed to be? Does that mean the demon never dies and the bullets are all gone?
I know this is a lot of questions, but i need to know all the answers. I am very confused.

John doesn't get 10 years like in a normal deal, probably because he'd spend those years hunting for another way to kill the demon atau looking for a way to escape the deal. The Reaper/Tessa only got temporarily possessed so that the demon could stop her from reaping Dean, fulfilling his end of this deal. The demon didn't want her.

There's no mention of any reference to Sam in that scene. John knew of YED's plans about Sam from the time he'd been possessed in Devil's Trap.

As to finding out if the demon dies/bullets are gone, just keep watching.
