Melissa McBride & Norman Reedus Come In Second At EWwy Awards

article about how The Walking Dead’s Melissa McBride was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress in a Drama award at the EWwy Awards.  Well, the ceremony was held this morning and the winner was named.

Instead, the winner was Maisie Williams from the insanely popular show Game of Thrones.

However, that doesn’t mean that Melissa McBride did poorly in the voting.  She managed to receive 22.78% of the votes while Williams took home 24.04% of the ballots.  So while McBride failed to bring home the trophy, she should be very proud that so many people are recognizing her portrayal of Carol on The Walking Dead.

A slim margin of only 308 votes separated McBride and Williams.

Another disappointing part of the EWwy awards was that Norman Reedus didn’t win the Best Supporting actor in a Drama award either.  The crossbow wielding badass also came in second place in what could be called a barn-burner when it came to votes.

Orphan Black’s Jordan Garvaris secured approximately 34% of the vote while Norman Reedus was hot on his tail at around 32%.

Personally, I haven’t watched Orphan Black, but I have heard some wonderful things about it.  Still, it’s difficult to think that Norman Reedus would ever lose a competition that involved voting.

Both actors should be very proud of their efforts during season 4 of The Walking Dead and be honored that they are recognized with award nominations.  They both have a massive fan following that adore them and can’t wait for them to return for season 5 this October.
