Soap and Scented Bath Essentials

I have searched the internet and written to the companies that make my soap (i mostly use Dove) and have not gotten a reply/found anything.
So i was wondering - does anyone know if soap (even if not the brand i use) is still being made sejak the fat of whales etc?
