My opinion: Why Elena's Cinta for Damon is going to be much stronger.

Hey. This is my first article. Hope anda all like it. Feedback much invited.

Damon and Elena's relationship has been getting a build up for the past two and a half season. They met, became friends, grew apart, came close again, and now 'feel passion for each other, which they can no longer deny'. And this, i feel, gives us so many advantages over any relationship in The Vampire Diaries realm. I have seen people say that Damon and Elena's relationship is not going to work. That Elena is gonna be all about Stefan. I dont see why and how. Elena has been with Stefan for two seasons, and she 'fell in love' with him although she barely knew him then. For last two seasons, she's making sure they are together, always. And in season 3, she's still striving to bring Stefan back, back to her. All this when their relationship was built on a lie (Elena didn't know Stefan was a vampire).

What i want to say is, that if and when Elena falls in love, and be in a relationship with Damon, it's going to be sturdy. Why? Because Elena will fall in Cinta with Damon knowing he's a vampire. Because she'll Cinta Damon despite knowing that he was in Cinta with a girl who looks just like her; not just that, but also knowing that he had spent 145 years loving that girl, looking for her. Because she's going to Cinta him knowing his past, knowing all his faults and what he is capable of. Because she'll Cinta him knowing both his good and bad side. Elena will Cinta Damon 'knowing' him. She has seen him at his worst, as well as at his best. Thats not it. Damon makes sure that she KNOWS him. He doesn't hold anything about himself back. Damon wants Elena to know all of him.

So, tell me now how can a relationship which is so real, which is nothing but truth, cannot work! They know each other so well, even for their own comfort. The bond they share right now is so deep. If Elena can Cinta Stefan the way she does, i dont see why she can't be in a successful relationship with Damon. If anything, it's gonna be much stronger and powerful. They both Cinta unconditionally, and when they will Cinta each other - It's gonna be epic. It might not be all Ros and sunshine, but which real relationship is!

Damon and Elena belong together. After such epic build up, their relationship has to be exploding. And those who say that Elena won't Cinta Damon the way she loves Stefan, atau it will just be a fling, I say think again. Because when she will Cinta Damon (which is inevitable) it's gonna be REAL, and we all know 'When it's real, anda can't walk away'. <3

Melisey This article is amazing! I agree with everything. Damon and Elena will start their relationship knowing each other. Good and bad. Loving each other for who they are. And I don't think it makes sense that it always would be Stefan. Because to quote Johnny Depp: "If you love two people at the same time, choose the second one, because if you really loved the first one you wouldnt have fallen for the second."

Manonx I agree with every word you said, so I love your article. After such an amazing build up, and knowing that they know each other so well I can't see why someone wouldn't ship Damon and Elena together! Well, I don't understand their reasons for shipping Elena or Damon with someone else. Thought we shouldn't fight about it xD What I wanted to say: amazing article, I hope you'll write more soon ;)

Delenafan2 Great article! You made some excellent points and I totally agree with you in them. I don't see how some people seem to think that Stefan and Elena's love is "epic." Can you tell me how a lie can be epic? NO ONE falls madly in love with someone else that quickly. It's totally unrealistic. Yes, I'm aware it's a show, but still. I hate the Damon and Elena bashers who don't even see the points you made. I guess they want to remain blind in their little fantasy bubble of denial.

LilSweetsOmega amazing i agree with you, she knows Damon inside and out so when Caroline and Bonnie say that he's DAMON they meen BAD, SADUSIVE (he kills everybody and he's so mean... and he's so mean) Damon; Elena knows he's nothing like that, thats why she doesn't like talking about him. Her relashionship with Stefan is false, she only loved or fell for the fake Stefan and now she nows the REAL RIPPA STEFAN she doesn't love him atall almost like she doesn't care. whereas she knows the (Bad) Damon and the REAL Damon and she still cares about him...basicly everytime she says that to him she meens she loves him) Elena loves Damon no matter what, but Stefan NO!! p.s. HaleyDewit It can never be a fling. Elena knows what Damon's been through. She wouldn't even consider him if she didn't have really strong feelings for him. She wouldn't start something with him just to explore the atrraction when she knows it would break his heart. Love the article! I absolutely agree with all your points.

mine17 That's exactly what i think. We have 2 seasons with up and downs, until they find they way to be together. Elena might love Stefan, but it's only the Stefan he wanted her to see. He never told her he was in love with her doppelganger, that he was a ripper she had to find out these things. And with Damon is the opposite, she knows the good and bad sides of him.

loveofpete Elena has never known the real Stefan since she met him. He hid a lot of things from her. She fell for the "angelic" vampire image and he caught her at a very vulnerable point in her life where she needed that. But she has matured and gotten stronger alot since then.Elena have known who Damon is from the beginning. He never tried to impress her and give her a false sense of who he was. Sometimes he tried to be worse than who he was. Despite all of that they became friends, developed a bond, attraction and now depend on each other as a team. So based on all that, when Elena learns everything about Stefan she will not be as open to him as before and will always have in the back of her mind " Is he telling me the truth?" It takes a long time to get back trust once it's tarnished. DE have a better chance of going the distance, despite a sometimes rocky life ahead. They at least know how to work on their problems with themselves and each other (not hide it), which is a BIG plus in any relationship.
