Was it really 1 who ran up and hugged Naomi Misora at the end of the book?

Yea, it really was L. I read the book several times and I own it. He only calls himself Ryuuzaki because it was him that defeated Beyond Birthday, A.K.A, Rue Ryuuzaki. When he defeats someone, he claims their detective codes, that is the same way that he ended up with the names Eraldo Coil and Deneuve

Yes the writer berkata himself that 1 was indeed the one that hugged Naomi.
