Alternatively it could be that the U.S' version of capitalize has become so monopolized and so corrupt that this generation is frowning upon it. Capitalism in this day and age treats people like machines, it dehumanizes them. I've come to work ready to pass out because I can't afford to not go. There are people who walk to work rain or shine because they can't afford cars. And people see that as admirable and amazing. Admirable and amazing on that person's behalf (due to their ability to work hard) sure. But amazing in general, no. Because it's ridiculous that people have to go that far. People are getting paid a minimum wage that doesn't support the cost of living. Millennials are working just as hard as generations before them and have less to show for it because the cost of living has gone so far up among other things. Millennials see this. And because they see this, they question it. They question it and wonder if there are other systems that work better. They question it and feel desperate enough to turn to communism.

Sure a lack of education is part of it. But lets be honest capitalism has some major flaws and isn't giving itself a good look. Communism caused a lot of death for sure. But so has capitalism via homelessness/starvation and desperation. Desperation that leads to armed robbery and suicide among other things. All 3 systems have causalities. I mean with headlines like this; "Americans Are Dying Younger, Saving Corporations Billions" it's hard not to frown upon it. link

I'm not saying we should be a communist nation but capitalism needs a serious revamp.

^Well said.

Extreme wealth inequality has been shown, in studies and throughout history, to lead to cynicism, unrest and - if it becomes extreme enough - actual revolts. The ever-rising economic/social/political inequality and insecurity we're currently facing is not sustainable.

Despite what communists believe, we cannot maintain an extremely equal state without it being despotic. But neither can we maintain an extremely unequal state without despotism. It needs to be balanced between those. Right now it is not, and it is getting worse as time progresses. Needs a serious fix or the social and economic problems will just continue.
