Why is Eilonwy not part of the Disney princess line up?

I understand your thoughts about 'Why is she not included if she's actually a princess' but there's only one thing I can leave Eilonwy's exclusion from the Disney Princess line-up to.

The film she appeared in, The Black Cauldron failed at the box office and with most critics at the time, it was a hit atau a miss with them. But most people didn't like it, especially people who read the original book who say that the film bears no resemblance to the book whatsoever. And because of this the film is pretty much unknown to some (okay, A LOT of) people. After all, look at all the other princesses. They all come from well-known Disney films, so Eilonwy would also look terribly out of place coming from a little known film if she was included in the line from being a princess.

And...that's all I can think of.

Because The Black Cauldron was not a successful movie and I think it's because she doesn't sing in her film- all the other DPs do :)

2-you need to be from a popular movie
3-you need a prince/hero
4-you need to be human

but i do Cinta Eilonwy. in fact, i think she's in my bahagian, atas 5 kegemaran animated females =)

Well, the movie The Black Cauldron wasn't as successful as Disney wanted it to be. Elionwy also seems a bit young to be a princess. (Snow White is the youngest of the official lineup, being fourteen.) I do own the movie, but surprisingly never seen it.
