I don't know if I'm alone on this, but I've become quite tired of everyone bashing the earlier princesses and saying they're bad role Model for girls. Personally, I think parents shouldn't be relying on fictional, animated characters to be the role models... but that's a whole different issue altogether. In this artikel I want to address the common complaints towards the princesses: waiting around for/needing a man, not being independent, etc...

Snow White:

I want to start with a reminder that Snow White is only 14-years-old. Face it, her story is no different than any other 14-year-old girl's: still lives at home, does chores, daydreams about the guy she likes. Keeping that in mind, it isn't fair to say that she isn't a good role model because she isn't independent; very few 14-year-old girls are. And they don't need to be, that's the point. And I don't like that everyone says she's sitting around waiting for a man. That's not true. Her step mom tried to have her killed. She had to run away from utama to save herself, but she literally didn't know anyone. She was fortunate enough to come across the dwarfs and they took her in. It's inaccurate to say she stayed in their cottage, just waiting for her prince. As far as she knew, that was her new utama considering her old utama was no longer selamat, peti deposit keselamatan and she didn't know anyone else. But, she pulled her own weight sejak cooking and cleaning. True, in the end she DID need a man, but that wasn't sejak choice atau anything. She was under a spell and couldn't exactly wake herself up with True Love's Kiss; even the most feminist of women can't pull off that trick. Blame the Evil Queen for Snow White depending on a man- Snow White had nothing to do with it. Snow White is, hands down, the kindest of all the Princesses. Yes, she was also naive; but she was very young and had absolutely no real world experience. She was just being caring and helpful to someone she thought was in need. If anything, we could all use a little bit of Snow White in us; true no good deed goes unpunished, but that doesn't mean we should turn our backs on those in need. In this case, Snow White was a very good influence.

Aurora:

There really isn't too much to say about Aurora since she actually wasn't in the majority of her film. She was a lonely girl. All she had was her family; no friends, thinking she had no real chance at Cinta atau much of a future. So, she daydreamed about the life she wanted and I think most people can relate to that. True, it probably wasn't smart to talk to a man she had never met before, despite the fairies' warning. But, let's be honest: if any one of us were in her situation, we would do the EXACT same thing. I mean, who doesn't want to dance with a handsome, mysterious stranger in the woods? Her only real flaw was refusing to tell Phillip her name, but being lebih than willing to tell him where she lived. As far as being independent, again, she was still young and didn't have much of a choice. The Pari-pari most likely didn't give her a lot of freedom and then she was forced into the life of a princess. And, like, Snow White, the whole needing a man to save her wasn't exactly what she wanted. She was put under a curse that only a Ciuman could break. There was nothing she could do for herself at that point. If anything, Snow White and Aurora only teach us that anda need a man to rescue anda if anda happen to find yourself under a curse sejak a witch atau sorceress. But, let's be honest: how often does that really happen nowadays?

Cinderella:

One thing that bothers me is when everyone says Tiana is the first hard working princess. That's not true. Think about all the stuff Cinderella had to do. She basically, single handedly took care of the house and held it together. If anything, Cinderella is the most like stay at utama and single moms (Without the kids... unless anda count the animals, which she also took care of sejak herself): overworked, never appreciated and completely under valued. Cinderella lived with her family and made absolutely no money: she couldn't leave and start her own life. She was as independent as someone in her situation could be. Technically, she did need a man to "save" her, but she wasn't waiting around for him to do so. She had very little control over her own life, but it was her life and she had accepted it. Of course that didn't stop her from wanting more, like everyone else. She daydreamed about what it would be like to not be a servant anymore and treated as an equal. With very little exposure to the outside world, she couldn't really meet a man- so her only option was to go to the ball and hope he would choose her. Of course, it can be argued that Cinderella could have just left and tried making it on her own. And that's true, she could have. But then that would have meant living in the streets until she somehow earned enough money to get her own place. But, let's be honest, hardly anyone actually hires homeless people.

One lebih thing I think everyone really needs to keep in mind is that Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella are women of very different times. Everyone is constantly judging them sejak how women are in the 21st century, but they're not supposed to represent women of today. Now, it's lebih common for women to have a career and her own life before getting married. But, if a woman wants to get married, have a family, cook, clean and take care of the house, that's totally okay! Everyone gets one shot at life and if a girl wants to be lebih like Snow White and less like Mulan, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Disney Filem are made for entertainment with some life lessons thrown in there, but they're not meant to be scripts for your life.

anda can still be kind like Snow White and still sertai the Army like Mulan. atau be too trusting like Aurora and still stand up for what anda believe in like Pocahontas. anda can be the one taking care of the household every hari like Cinderella and still not need a man in your life like Elsa. Be whoever anda are and live your life the way anda want to; it doesn't matter if anda happen to be lebih like Snow White and less like Mulan. And don't let anyone tell anda differently.

Disney has Enchanted us for decades with its beautiful, Singing heroines.
Disney has enchanted us for decades with its beautiful, singing heroines.
As many of us know, Disney Princesses are not always viewed in a positive light. Some people believe them to be passive, codependent damsels in distress. But is this really true? atau does each Princess offer a kind of strength in her own way? Here, I have carefully ranked the princesses in terms of being good role Model for young girls. We'll start at the bottom of the senarai so we can work our way towards, in my opinion, Disney Princess' best role model. I have spoken to plenty of parents to make sure that I have diverse research and opinions.

The senarai of hottest Disney princes is finally here! As we know, Disney guys are mostly hotter than guys in real life, and I admittedly have a crush on lebih than one of them. But let's see as a whole, who the Fanpop community is crushing on.
I only have a little to write about each of the guys, because...come on. anda all know as much as I do.

 The girly guy

9.The Prince
This nameless fellow was out pretty quickly in the first round. Dark brown hair, brown eyes, and of average height, this guy really is nothing special. A major turn off for most of the people who voted was his girly appearance,...

Snow White ___________________________

In the beginning of the Grimm's Tale Schneewittchen, Snow White's mother pricks her finger with a sewing needle and three drops of her blood fall onto the snow which lay on the ebony windowsill. Oddly enough, this made her long for a daughter of a similar color scheme. While this reflects the arc of the story: (white)innocence, (red)maturity & love, and (black)death, her name particularly represents a season when the world metaphorically sleeps only to be inevitably awakened with the coming of spring.

Hi everyone, I just watched Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera just now. While watching, I noticed some similarities with Beauty and the Beast! Here are my observations.

The Story-line

As anda may know, both stories are set in France, it also has a sad theme in it as it deals with a deformed person name Erik who wishes to be love. Ironically, the penulis of The Phantom of the Opera is sejak Gaston Leroux, who happens to be the namesake villain of Disney's retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The rose also plays a symbolic role in both stories.
Secondly, the Stranger Than anda Dream It scene...

Well,it's been a while since a wrote an article,huh?
It's not entirely my fault,it's just I that my life has its ups and downs and I had to deal with both of them in the past days.Plus, considering how long my sebelumnya artikel was that I had to perpecahan, berpecah it into two parts,I needed some break from that.
But enough talk, let's get into the artikel itself.
anda may not have known this, but I'm also a big Steven Universe fan. Most of that has to do with the fact of,you guessed it,how much it resembles Frozen.
Now technically,Steven Universe aired about one week before Frozen came out,but the similarities...

I haven't done a ranking in a while, so here ya go. This artikel is dedicated to the amazing animators of Disney who gave us wonderful character designs and, sadly, unrealistic hair expectations! (*cries because my hair will never be as cool as DP hair*)

That being said, although every princess has beautiful hair, some manes are better than others. This is my opinion of their hairstyles, ranked worst to best.

12. Tiana

I find Tiana's hairstyles quite disappointing. As the first black princess, and being absolutely gorgeous at that, the animators could have done lots of cool things with letting...

Hello, everyone! This is the first installment of my new series analyzing the DPs' personalities according to the Enneagram system.

Introduction: Understanding the Enneagram

So, the Enneagram is a pretty complicated system of classifying personalities. Basically, everyone has a core type, expressed as a number of One through Nine. This is the most straightforward huraian of someone’s personality.

Here’s a basic rundown of each type:
1: perfectionistic, rational, idealistic
2: generous, warm-hearted, nurturing
3: ambitious, image-conscious, charming
4: sensitive, dreamy, moody
5: cerebral,...

I know she's always typed as an Intuitive, especially an ENFP, and it's understandable why; I had once typed her as an ENFJ myself. She does, after all, just "know" the lights are "meant for me!" But is that really indicative of someone with strong intuitive preference? I think it's because this tendency for people to type nerdy/quirky/silly ESFJs as ENFPs, not only Rapunzel but characters like Steven Universe. It gets frustrating because that just implies only intuitives are inherently imaginative.

Anyway, to the typing:

I really think he loses it, here... Raging at a person is not explaining to a person your personal view.
Triton is one of those dads in Disney that absolutely makes me squirm. I don’t Cinta him, and I don’t hate him. But I do find him extremely unnerving, and on the same plane of Mother Gothel upsetting. He clearly alternates between being “nice” only sometimes, and then being really “explosively nasty” at other periods. King Triton’s rule is a patriarchy. I think his abusive tendencies, though, stem from insecurities he has within himself. Triton is afraid of the unknown. He's also afraid of not appearing “manly” enough. ( Bizarrely, this also makes me think of Prince Adam and...

I got inspired sejak laylastepford's link about which American Cities the Disney Princesses would live in and as I'm from Sweden I decided to write an artikel about which Swedish Towns (since most falls into that category, only a few falls into the "city" category) each Disney Princesses would live in, it's hard to identify each town's personality so I based it on mostly other aspects. I haven't been to all these towns so I'm just basing on what I know about each town

Snow White: Alingsås

This town lays only about 30 minit train ride from Gothenburg and from what I've read and seen off...

Hello there! I'm ApplesauceDoctr here today with my third DP Song Analysis article. I've forgotten how much I enjoy Penulisan these, and since I re-watched Brave a few days ago, I thought I'd analyze one of its most notable songs -- "Into the Open Air".

Before we begin, thought I'd mention this -- the chorus occurs twice in the real song (the one anda can purchase from the soundtrack), but only occurs once in the actual movie. The lyrics for the two are quite different, but because we only hear one version in the movie, I'll only discuss that one we hear. :D

This love, it is a distant star...
