It's been discussed lately which princess is lebih Mary Sue-ish. Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel, Cinderella... all these have been mentioned. I'm ashamed to say that I berkata (that sounds strange) that Rapunzel was the most Mary Sue-ish princess (though I also berkata there was a far marge from her to a Mary Sue).

I wish we would stop talking about which princess is the most Mary Sue-ish, because none of them are. In this artikel I'm going to try and prove it. I'll senarai some flaws they have, and I'm going to name what I think is their fatal flaw. I'm dividing these artikel-artikel sejak era, because I need to rewatch some of these movies, so this artikel is only about the Classic Princesses. Without further ado, let's begin with Princess Number 1:

Snow White

I'm still unsure what Snow White's fatal flaw is: either her stubborness atau her naivety. If she had stopped and listened to her animal friends, she wouldn't have allowed the witch in her house. But her naivety also helped. Earlier on the movie she said, "But she'll never find me here!". Snow White is so wrapped in her innocence and optimism that it can turn to naivety: sometimes she fails to see the bottle full.

Snow White is also very disobedient: she lets a strange inside the house, even though the Dwarfs warned her not to. It's their house, so shouldn't she obey their orders? Snow White's vivid imagination can also turn against her: when she's running through the woods, she start to imagine all sort of creatures and monsters. Snow also can come across as a bit of a nag: she blackmails the Dwarfs into washing their hands, atau they "won't have a bite to eat".

She is manipulative: sure, none of her manipulations are for evil, but she still uses her natural charm and the skills she mastered to get what she wants. Tiana berkata in The Princess and the Frog: "The quickest way to a man's hati, tengah-tengah is through his stomach". Well, Tia, Snow taught this lesson way before you.

Inside every Princess there is an Evil Queen... atau a Manipulative Boss.
Inside every Princess there is an Evil Queen... atau a Manipulative Boss.

Cinderella

Cinderella's fatal flaw is allowing her emotions to get hold of herself. This is displayed a couple of times: first is when she fails to notice Gus is in one of the teacups in Anastasia's breakfast tray. She is on a hurry, we can notice that sejak the way she moves quickly, so she doesn't stop to check if everything is in order. She doesn't even see Lucifer under the table!

The saat time is when the mice present her with the dress. She never once stops and thinks, "Wait. Where did all this come from? Where did anda get these sash and beads?" She is wrapped up in her joy and she can't see beyond it.

The third time is when she delays in leaving the ball. She was feeling so happy, beautiful and loved, and the mood was so romantic, that she only left when the clock was already striking twelve.

The fourth (and most important) time is when she daydreams in front of her stepmother and hums the waltz So This is Love. Lady Tremaine notices she was the girl the Prince fell for, and locks her up without her stepdaughter noticing. And when she was locked up, she didn't think of anything to help her out until the mice brought her the key (then she told the birds to fetch Bruno so he could scare Lucifer away). But I think it's unfair to say Cinderella didn't work for her happy ending, because all the help she received from the mice was because she cared for them all these years, including sewing for them = hard work.

Like I berkata above, Cinderella can be distracted, and this can also be noticed in the fact that she is always losing her shoes. She did it three times: when she was going upstairs to serve breakfast, at the ball and at her wedding. Of course, this isn't a flaw, but it adds to her flaw, so that's why I'm mentioning it.

Cinderella can also be pahit and angry, and she was going to beat Lucifer with her penyapu because he messed the floor she was cleaning. For an animal friend, Cindy doesn't have high standarts.

Cinderella can also be a hypocrite: she says "They can't order me to stop dreaming", yet she admonishes Bruno for dreaming of chasing Lucifer. Of course, she was only worried for his well-being, but it's still a bit contradictory.

 Anger issues much?
Anger issues much?

Aurora

Aurora doesn't have a fatal flaw. But that is because she isn't the protagonist of her movie: sure, the story revolves around her, but the main characters are the three fairies. They are responsible for most of the action and their screentime is bigger than any other character's in that movie.

However, Aurora do have flaws: her biggest one is that she doesn't stand up for herself. She never argues with the fairies, "Why did anda hide it from me? Why did anda do that?". After she leaves the man she loved and the life she knew before behind, she is left pratically lifeless, like a puppet. She doesn't even speak anymore.

Aurora can be pessimistic, because she fails to see the good side of things. She could have thought, "I'm a princess! I'm rich now!" but she only thought of the bad side of things. She is also quite childish. She complains about being treated like a child, but when anda think about it, that's exactly what Aurora is: a child.

Aurora is indecisive: she tells Phillip they'll never see each other again, but in the seterusnya moment she is planning to meet him at the cottage. And like Cinderella, Aurora can become distracted and Lost in her daydreaming: she doesn't even notice when Phillip sneaks up behind her, and he's holding her hands.

So that is it. This is part 1 of my serie of articles. I'll (hopefully) have part 2 written and finished soon.
“Rapunzel” is the kind of story that consistently ranks highly in people’s lists of their kegemaran fairy tales. With a dramatic plot, interesting characters, symbolic motifs, and the underlying theme of the redeeming power of love, the tale certainly seems to deserve such adoration. Grimm’s version of the story is perhaps the most known retelling,
 Grimm's Rapunzel
Grimm's Rapunzel
although that may have changed as of 2010 with Disney’s adaptation, Tangled, a movie just as rife with symbolism as its literary inspiration. Although both are variations on the Rapunzel narrative, Disney’s movie veers...

After seeing Sweetie94's prettiest Disney princess list, I wanted to make one of mine as well. I'm not really a peminat of the beauty of modern princesses, I find them rather too doll types, somehow. So they are all ranking low on my list. Hope you'll enjoy it, here it goes:

13. Elsa:
Eh, are her eyes for real? Way too big on her face and her lips are so thin. She does have that Barbie doll kind of look to her. She has an unbalanced face proportion, her upper portion of face is too big as compared to the lower portion and that gives her an unnatural look, imo. I quite like her hair though, snow blonde,...

Last time I wrote this senarai Brave and Frozen hadn't been released so now I'll write this senarai with them included, hope you'll like it

12. Pocahontas

This scene is amazing to look at, no wonder many people loves this ending, but why is it then last on my list? While it's an amazing scene to look at it isn't a happy ending, normally I don't mind it, but Disney is known for making happy endings so honestly if this movie was made sejak another company and was live action I probably would Cinta the ending more

11. Mulan

This ending starts off great with Mulan reuniting with her father and Shang...

So here is the Part 2 to my musical countdown: Scores. I Cinta Disney Muzik and I honestly Cinta the scores over the songs. They have all of the "magic Disney" feel that I absolutely adore. Also, I Cinta how the scores can provide a blend of the different songs from it's respective films as well as stir up all of the emotions and/or memories from it's respective scene(s). For those reasons, this senarai was much harder for me to make than Part 1: Songs, but I managed to finish! As I mentioned before, I cannot get enough from the musical team of Alan Menken and Howard...

So many times have I heard that Disney Princess Filem are for little girls who wish upon a fairy godmother, want to be rescued sejak a handsome prince and live happily ever after. This is so not true and doubt all those who have opinions like this, if they have ever watched any DP movie seriously. So here's my 5 reasons why adults should consider Disney Princess Filem as serious entertainment

5. animasi Art:
Any adult who have serious interest in animasi art will not only enjoy the ever-evolving animasi style from Disney studio but will find that animasi in these Filem are top-notch....

Ok so I saw a talented user here post an artikel about the Bechdel Test and being the Walt geek that I am, was immediately inspired to do a Walt Disney Test.

Walt Disney was unfortunately only alive to fully see over the production and release of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty which are known as the "Classic Princesses". For this reason, I took everything in common that I could find with these 3 princesses for relevancy to rate the others. The 14 commonalities I found were: 1.) Beautiful Face 2.) In Shape Body 3.) Soft/Sweet Speaking Voice 4.) Singing Voice 5.) Dance Scene [Solo...

Tiana- The Under-rated

When Princess and the Frog came out it got people talking. Not only is Tiana a trailblazer for being the first African American Princess, but she was the first princess to independently have jobs and dedication to pursue a realistic career, I get that not every little girl dreams of having a business and they’d rather have the sparkly gaun but I had hopes that Tiana would inspire them to come up with realistic goals. But .......she was not as loved as I thought . Also , some people ( SOME ONLY ) dislike her for her color tone !!!!!!!

Mulan- The Very Underrated

Now , she...

What if all of the Disney Princesses were American and lived in American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in? (*Note, I comprised this senarai of where they would want to live as a free choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list.)

Snow White: Phoenix, Arizona
Because there is a large elderly population there so Snow could help them like she did the dwarves. She is also a conservative princess that I think would enjoy living out under the stars in a lebih traditional place.

Cinderella: Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota
Because it is a city rich...

13. Elsa

Although I Cinta ALL Disney Princesses I find Elsa to be extremely annoying and overrated. But I can't say that to anyone without them griping at me! Originally Elsa was at number 9 atau ten on this senarai but the peminat-peminat dropped her down even more. So why else besides peminat-peminat do I put her here? She can't take responsibility for her actions! She never stood up to anyone and blamed the whole thing on Anna, when it was partially her fault. Elsa should have told Anna at the coronation about her powers, it's not like...
