A few Mulan fans here have genuine reasons for liking here and even fewer accept her negative flaws, but the vast majority? Yeah, they just like her because "omg she's so bad-a and saved a country and can fight she's not like the other girls in their dresses who just sit around pining after men!1!!1" Personality-wise she is similar to Cinderella and even has some traits in common with Aurora but they're people's favorite girls to use as punching bags when they praise Mulan. I'm positive if she didn't do "cool" stuff boys as well as girls would like she'd be considered boring or even weak for going along with the marriage.
I'm just not sure what you mean by calling Belle prepotent.
