Popular would mean they had not as many haters too. Ariel haas about as many fans as Belle, but she has a tiny amount of haters in comparison. Therefore I'd say Ariel is more popular.

^Well it's mostly the case that people who favor Belle dislike Ariel and the other way around. Of course there are some people who just hate both or like both. I think these two are the most popular generally though.

I think so, but I admit for the last time a lot of people (almost equally) became either Belle's or Ariel's haters.

They're the most beloved one here. Ariel got some hatred but her fans would immediately defend her when anyone said something bad about Ariel. Mulan, yeah everyone adore her,

Belle and Rapunzel after them also.

Love for the Revival Era and the Revival princesses dominates Fanpop.

Mulan has no haters on Fanpop (save for Avatar_tla_fan back in the day). Mulan is not well known outside of Fanpop, aside from her stan base, though her merch is very hard to find now that audiences spaz over Elsa, Anna, Merida, Rapunzel, and Tiana.

Belle and Tiana both are "the darling favorites "of Fanpop. The Tiana rigging is obnoxious here. Tiana wins most everything through rigging. Belle basically WINS every poll on Fanpop, be it for her beauty, her animation, her prince, her characteristics, her adventure, her decisions, who is most relateable, etc., etc.

There is some love for the Classics here on Fanpop, but not outside of Fanpop.

Just like outside of Fanpop, Jasmine and Pocahontas are largely ignored on Fanpop.

Unlike Ariel, Rapunzel has more lovers than haters on Fanpop. Rapunzel has four haters that I know of...? Ariel has at least 75 haters.


Merida isn't that popular here, either. Merida is popular on Facebook, though. Merida is more loved than the Classics on Fanpop, but is less loved than Rapunzel, Tiana, and Belle. On Fanpop, Merida definitely has more fans than Ariel, though.

Like I said, Ariel gets a s**t ton of "bad messaging" about her, here. The biggest complaint from haters is that Ariel doesn't love her family enough, and should never have left home for any reason at all. If Ariel had done as the Ariel haters wanted, there would be no movie plotline at all. A large number of people on Fanpop think Merida ( who is ruthless and cares about literally no one but herself, but turns her mother into a bear through a rash mistake) is a better character than Ariel is. So after consensus, Ariel is the most hated princess on Fanpop. (Fortunately, outside of Fanpop, Ariel isn't advertised as "the worst princess;" the haters who rip Ariel to shreds are confined to the bowels of the internet; Ariel's merch actually trends toward the expensive side on Ebay, Hot Topic, and Disney merch websites. Some little kids still love Ariel. And now that some people have gotten so tired of the inundation of Elsa, Anna, and Moana, other princesses get a tiny pinch of attention again, thank goodness).
