Disney Article: Bring Back the Villians

A lot of the new Disney Filem have been really lame. I think one of the big reasons they're so bad is they basicly have no villains. For example: in Cars the only villain is Chick Hick, and anda hardly got to see him. Also in
Wall-e the antagonist was a computer. And in Enchanted they had a prety good villain going with that evil Queen but again anda didn't get see her much, when anda did see of her almost every thing she did had already been done in other movies.

Now compare that to the classics. Cruella, she wanted to kill Anak Anjing for a coat. The Evil Queen she wanted to kill a little girl just to be the prettiest. And than thre are other that aren't so much wicked they're just funny, like Captain Hook. Which do prefer, the new ones atau the classics.

sweeneytodd9999 The classic villains of course. I hate Wall.E and Cars. so lame and childish. Ratigan and Frollo were pretty good villains, too.

frollosgypsy Frollo was the best! and yes, I've thought that for awhile. Disney movies now seem to cater to those that have a lack of intelligence or are under 6. So the villains are lame too, and not scary. The recent movies really are for young young kids. they dont make movies with a wide range anymore

kateliness2 I think that Hopper from a Bug's Life is a fantastic villain. Otherwise, I agree sort of. They seem to cater to a younger audience. I still like these movies though :)

jish55 the problem is that Pixar pretty much took control. I mean, look at the last 2D Disney film that was released in theaters, it was Home on the Range. Since then, anything from Disney that was released into theaters have been either Pixar, or live action (Except for Meet the Robinsons) Now, if The Princess and the Frog doesn't work out to well, 2D Disney film's will probably become extinct, which is really sad, because then my child hood will pretty much be gone. But yes, in order to get the old Disney villains, we need more 2D films to be released, not this 3D crap that Pixar is doing.

Pyjamarama Sid is a good villain in Toy Story like Stromboli from Pinocchio, Sykes from Oliver and Company and McLeach from The Rescuers Down Under.

believe100 I may be somewhat of an open-minded liberal, but even I cannot argue against you on this one. Even the most horrendous of evil disney characters have feelings, desires, emotions, and even at least a shred of good in their moral compass. But as with most of the more recent disney villians, their motivations have been latent or even deemed meaningless. They need to have emotions and display them and their motivations vivaciously, and be charismatic so that the movie can be more engaging.

Love this couple

Here is an updated version of my favourite characters and scenes from the Disney Filem I love. Warning some Tangled Spoilers are in this article.

#1 Favourite animated film as a child
So many but I am going to say The Little Mermaid because I loved the story, and I loved the character Ariel as she wanted lebih and she wanted to be part of the human world which was a huge sacrifice for her. I like Sebastian because he is so funny and menggelepar, flounder is so cute. Favourite scene from that movie would have to be the part where they are on a bot and Sebastian sings Ciuman the Girl.
