This is where I started readig the books first and being disappointed by the movies.

This is the only movie that I almost like more than the book *gasp*.

The books will always be superior

The movies does a great job, esp. with the last half hour. That part is probably a tad better. But, sadly, points off for Lupin's silly 'stache

i agree with what tubby2002 said in the first post, this was the first book i read of the series and the film just doesn't compete

Book definitely. It was the first HP book I read and I couldn't put it down. I had actually seen the movie before I read this but I definitely think this trumps the movie by far.

As my forever standing favorite in the series, it's a hard decision for me): The book was a bit slow for me and the movie left things out so I had to go for the game:) which was awesome in my mind

The PoA book is my favorite!

I'm a really big fan of the books, but it's better if you watch one movie so you can see what they look and sound like in your head.

The book gave the depth, but the movie made it come alive.
