Throughout the Harry Potter books, there are some variations between the Bloomsbury (British) and Scholastic (American) editions. Below the first section on "Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's" is a section on other different terminologies used.

Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's

When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a lebih appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American...

HOGWARTS STAFF
Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee").
Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish.
Headmaster Armando Dippet: Armando is from the name Armand,...

If not little known, at least little remembered. ;) I've collected here eleven (in my opinion) of the most interesting and useful ones. Plus my komen-komen on some of them.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

1. There is no such thing as a pureblood family. Every wizarding family has a muggle atau a few among them. Some just choose to menyeberang, cross them over in their family pokok and pretend they don't exist and instead claim themselves as purebloods.

^I can see Blacks and Malfoys doing that. But makes me wonder why were the Crouches noted as purebloods then, as evidently the father and son were not passionate about purity of blood....

Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror's Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.

Hermione Granger married to Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department...

An example of an object anda could use.
An example of an object you could use.
A handy-dandy Wikihow artikel on how to make a horcrux, for all anda aspiring Dark witches and wizards out there!
Credit: wikihow.com

1. Become an extremely powerful witch atau wizard. This will take years of study and sacrifice which lie beyond the scope of a WikiHow article. As a general guide anda should not attempt to create a horcrux until anda can cast non-verbal killing curses.

2. Locate an object of extreme significance to you. An emotional attachment to the object will aid the process and make it easier on your body and soul.

3. Bathe in the Water of Sorrows and eat 1 cup of paste made from...

 Bellatrix Lestrange
Bellatrix Lestrange
I have been on the Harry Potter spot for a while now and I constantly find myself getting asked "why do anda like Bellatrix?" So I decided to type up this article. Thank anda lifeisgoodx3 for inspiring me to do so.

So why would some one like a person who killed Sirius, Dobby, Tonks, and tortured Hermione and the Longbottms? Well I actually have multiple reasons as to why I like her; Bellatrix stands for what she believes in, she's crazy and funny, pretty, unique, strong and confident, she has an interesting story behind her, I can relate to her, she has potential to be a good guy, and I have a...

Tom Marvalo Riddle / Voldemort:

- Voldemort's real name, Tom Marvalo Riddle, is an anagram for 'I am Lord Voldemort'.
- In the Filem Voldemort's wand's handle appears to be made of bone, even though the buku says nothing about this.
- J.K. Rowling has later revealed that the crouched human child-like form in Kings menyeberang, cross when Harry was talking to Dumbledor, was actually Voldemort.
- There were rumors saying that the actors Rowan Atkinson and John Malkovich were considerd for the role of Lord Voldemort for the 4th movie. Both of these proved to be false.
- In 2001 Christian Coulson was cast for...

So after Membaca Cursed Child I was beyond excited for this character and I thought I'd share why. That berkata there are probably gonna be spoilers in here.

First and foremost, right off the bat I figured I'd like her because Bellatrix is her mom. To be honest out of all of my kegemaran characters I figured that Bella would be the least likely to have a baby but here she is lol. So she gets points just for being Bellatrix's daughter. xP Carry on her legacy well Delphi. :'D

Secondly I Cinta her name. My friend and I, in the last 24 hours have made so many jokes about Bellatrix going 'derp, this is...

I will miss Richard Griffiths very greatly. He was a fantastic actor and a great loss. He did an awesome job bringing Vernon Dursley to life the way he did.

Sometimes his true warmth peeked through, as in that one neat scene in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone where he is talking about Sundays being a ‘fine day’ and asks why that is; Harry Melling’s Dudley shrugs his shoulders. Daniel’s Harry asks him if the reason was because there was no post on Sundays, and Richard momentarily dropped the Vernon persona and beamed warmly at him, replying with “Right anda are, Harry”...

As statistics show, the Harry Potter book-movie partnership and the merchandise which stems from it has seen unprecedented success. Success, which, many could argue, is unreplicatable The reason for this, in my opinion, is that no one has ever fully explored in enough detail the why of Harry Potter. Why does it, in comparison to bintang Wars (which I love), Indiana Jones, (which I've never seen,) and other blockbuster franchises, despite astounding success, has never quite so immersed itself in all facets of pop culture? The generation which grew up with the buku and films frequently make references...

1. I will not poke Hufflepuffs with spoons, nor will I insist that their House Warna indicate that they are "covered in
bees".
2. No matter how good a fake Australian accent I can do, I will not imitate Steve Irwin during Care of Magical Creatures
class.
3. "I've heard every possible joke about Oliver Wood's name" is not a challenge.
4. Putting up Doug Henning posters in Filch's office is not appropriate.
5. I will not go to class skyclad.
6. The Giant Squid is not an appropriate tarikh to the Yule Ball.
7. I will not use Umbridge's quill to write, "I told anda I was hardcore".
8. I will stop referring...

In the beginning

The starting point for each of the house crests was the Hogwarts crest, which first appeared on the tajuk pages of the Harry Potter books, and represents all four Hogwarts houses. This original artwork and J.K. Rowling’s descriptions of the houses were used to inspire four unique house emblems for Pottermore.

The process

The artists started sejak talking about the best way to include the natural elements of fire, earth, water and air into each house; what the best positions and expressions for the Haiwan would be; and the most effective way to include the house colours in the...

NO ONE BULLIES A WEASLEY

A seterusnya generation one-shot drabble.....

23rd September 2019

Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardy

Great Hall

9:30 AM

The breakfast was over, so there were very few students in Great Hall.

Hugo Weasley was sitting on Gryffindor meja, jadual with a book in his lap. AGAIN.

But he was not alone. Marcus Mills, a first-year Slytherin was also there with his two cronies.

"Look who is here! What are anda doing here Weasley?," asked Mills in his normal taunting voice.

"Can't anda see, I'm reading.," replied Hugo. BAD MOVE.

"Reading! On weekend! Lemme see what anda are reading.," berkata Mills snatching...

RITA SKEETER’S INTERVIEW WITH VOLDEMORT

Here I am, in an isolated katil wing at St. Mungo’s . And for once, interviewing ( not quite the right way ) Rita skeeter who apparently isnt in the best of condition to reveal about the extraordinary interview with the “MAN WHO LET THE BOY LIVE” and the “EATEN sejak DEATH” crowd there . sejak hearing this we can easily guess why she has turned up at St.Mungo’s.

Anyways skeeter who – for the first time brilliantly found a way to penetrate into the after death world had successfully but unfortunately met them there in an interview.using a pensieve...

They could hear footsteps, Filch running as fast as he could towards Peeves' shouts.
"Oh, alih over," Hermione snarled. She grabbed Harry's wand, tapped the lock and whispered, "Alohomora!"
The lock clicked and the door swung open -- they piled through it, shut it quickly and pressed their ears against it, listening.

BELLATRIX
Come, now a roundel and a fairy song;
Then, for the third part of a minute, hence;
Some to kill cankers in the musk-rose buds,
Some war with rere-mice for their leathern wings,
To make my small elves coats, and some keep back
The clamorous owl that nightly hoots and wonders
At our quaint spirits. Sing me now asleep;
Then to your offices and let me rest.

The Pari-pari sing:
You spotted snakes with double tongue,
Thorny hedgehogs, be not seen;
Newts and blind-worms, do no wrong,
Come not near our queen.
Philomel, with melody
Sing in our...

 Hello Newt, we meet again.
Hello Newt, we meet again.
Hi guys, I had finally seen the sequel to Fantastic Beast last night with my British classmate and her universiti friend. So, here is my review on it.

The Story

Okay, so the story takes place after the events of the first movie. Grindelwald escapes from prison sejak camouflaging himself and runs of to his secret headquarters, and as for Newt Scamander, he has renew his travel rights. To which I am happy with, I also learnt that he has a brother to whom he has a neutral relationship with!
We also get to meet Nagini in her human form, prior to becoming the Lord Voldemort's pet snake and the final...
