One night, Erin was walking downtown with her band mates and her new dog, Fritz. Suddenly, a boy of a similar age stepped out of the shadows. Erin instantly recognized him. She said, "Hello, Phil." Phil said, "Erin, I never thought I'd see anda again. You're too busy hanging with this Paul guy." She said, "For your information, we happen to be best Friends and band mates." Phil sneered, "Yeah. He's the one who got anda into this devil music." She said, "Paul didn't get me into it. I got into it on my own, and I highly doubt it's devil music, because it brought me and my Friends together, and it saved my life." Phil pulled out a gun and pointed it at Paul. "NO!" Erin cried, and she leaped in the air and pushed Paul out of the way. A shot rang out, and Erin and Paul landed on the concrete. Fritz ran up to Phil and bit his leg. He dropped his gun and ran away. Carl and Lola were in shock. They rushed to Erin and Paul. Lola asked, "Are anda guys okay?" Paul got up and said, "I'm fine, thanks to Erin." Erin was unable to get up. In the light from jalan lamps, they could see a gunshot wound in her upper thigh. Blood was streaming down her leg. Thankfully, the hospital was just across the street. Paul carried her to the hospital. He refused to let go until someone from the hospital took her in. Erin waited anxiously to hear what the doctor was going to say. When he came in, he said, "You're going to be fine. The bullet isn't in very deep. We'll just remove it and send anda home." Once that was done, Erin limped outside, where her band mates and her dog were waiting anxiously. Carl asked, "Are anda going to be all right?" Erin said, "I'm going to be just fine." Paul said, "I'm glad for that. I want to thank anda for saving my life." She said, "You're welcome." Paul carried her home. When they arrived, her aunt and uncle were horrified to see that Erin was hurt. Her aunt asked, "Who did this to you?" Erin replied, "Phil." Her uncle asked, "Why did he do that?" She said, "He wanted to kill Paul, and I took the bullet for him." Paul said, "I'm glad she saved my life, but I wish she didn't have to get hurt doing it." She said, "But I'm alive." He said, "And I'm glad for that." The seterusnya day, when Erin was resting in her bed, her grandmother paid her a visit. She said, "Erin, your aunt just told me what happened. How are anda feeling, dear?" Erin said, "It really hurts when I think about it, which is all the time." Her grandmother said, "I understand that anda took the bullet for your friend, Paul." She said, "Yes, Grandma, I did. Phil wanted to kill him, and I wasn't going to let that happen." Her grandmother said, "I'm very disappointed in Phil. He's become so much like your horrible grandfather. He's not what a Christian should be!" Erin liked this version of her grandmother. "Where was that version of Grandma when Grandpa murdered my father? Where was she when Grandpa murdered Barry and beat me?" Those where the things that Erin wondered, but that wasn't important now. The important thing was the better version of her grandmother was here now.

Even though it is Christmas, things have not exactly been jolly for us. A few weeks ago, our Krismas lights had burned our house down. My aunt and uncle escaped unharmed, but I got trapped. I saw a firefighter coming to my rescue, and before I fell unconscious, I said, "Please help me." When I woke up, I was in the hospital. The doctor said, "It's good that you're awake now." I asked if my aunt and uncle were okay. The doctor said, "They're fine. They're in the waiting room right now. anda gave them quite a scare, young lady." I said, "I'm not going to die, am I?" He said,...

Today was Thanksgiving, (for the United States). Thanksgiving has always been my kegemaran holiday. It is a time to get together with the family without the pressure of buying gifts for them, and I like food. I helped a bit with preparing the dinner, but I mostly set the table. Grandma didn't want me to burn myself. It's happened in the past. Anyway, John managed to find his way. Whenever we would sit at the table, we would all say what we are thankful for before eating the food. We allowed John to go first, since he was new to the family. He said, "I'm thankful for my band...

I've been having quite a weekend so far. Yesterday, after school, my aunt and uncle noticed that I was still feeling a little down. They decided to take me to a hiking trail, since I enjoy nature. Everything was going well, but suddenly, I got separated from them sejak mistake. I tried to go back the way I came, but there were so many twists and turns, and I became increasingly confused. Pretty soon, I came across a log cabin. I berkata to myself, "I wonder if anyone lives there. Maybe I can get some help." I knocked on the door, but the only answer was a barking dog. I decided to...

Today at school, I had my worst hari yet. I was on my way to my last class, and I overheard Kimberly talking to one of her friends. Her friend said, "I don't understand why you're Friends with Grace. She's just, I don't know, so dorky." I didn't like that, but I kept quiet to see where it was going. Kimberly said, "I'm not Friends with Grace, Isabella!" My eyes widened. She wasn't Friends with me? Was she denying our friendship out of fear? Isabella said, "I've seen anda with her, doing the friendly banter. anda two do your homework together." Kimberly said, "Okay, here's the thing....

Ever since I saved Freddy's life, my schoolmates have looked at me differently. They actually respect me now. I like that I've gained respect, but I never wanted to be popular. I enjoy being around people, but I hate being the center of attention. It's awful. The popular girls even look my way now. We don't have a lot in common, but one of them seems nice enough. Her name is Kimberly. However, there might be a problem with her and my other friends, particularly Bridget. Bridget berkata to me today, "Grace, it's good that you're nice and friendly to everyone, but I'd watch my back...

Today at school, I had an experience I will never forget. I had just finished my lunch, and I went to throw something away. Suddenly, I heard someone shouting, "Somebody, help! My friend is choking!" I rushed to the scene. One of the kids looked up at me desperately and said, "I don't know what to do." I said, "But I do!" As I berkata that, I gave his friend a sharp blow between the shoulders. The boy was able to cough it up forcefully. Once he could talk again, he said, "Thank you." I said, "You're welcome. Are anda okay?" He said, "Yeah." Later, I was getting ready to head home....

I am feeling much better today. I don't feel great, but I feel much better than I did a few days ago. I was able to go to school today. Michael, Sabrina, and Bridget helped me get caught up in my classes. I'm lucky to have such good friends. Of course, I did feel a bit tired after finishing my homework. I took a nap for a while. When I woke up, it was almost 6:00 pm. I didn't realize I had slept that long. When makan malam, majlis makan malam time came, I ate really well. I didn't feel like eating much for the past couple of days. My appetite has returned. I think I will go to katil early tonight. I'm feeling pretty tired right now. I'm not completely better, but I'm close to it.

I missed school today, because I am sick. I picked up an upper respiratory infection as a result of my allergies to ragweed. It's the only thing I'm allergic to. Of course, of all things to be allergic to, I had to be allergic to something that's hard to avoid. I mean, ragweed pollen blooms in late August and spreads around from early September to the middle of November. How does one avoid that? Anyway, I started feeling bad yesterday, and last night, my aunt took me to the emergency room, because I had a terrible cough and sounded extremely hoarse. She said, "You could've...

Today was the first hari of school. It was not a good day, atau maybe it was, depending on how one looks at it. I got beat up, but I am glad that I took a beating for someone else. What happened was this. I saw some girls bullying the new girl. I walked up to the bullies and said, "Stop it! Why are anda being so mean? What did this girl ever do to you?" The ring leader said, "Stay out of this, Grace! This doesn't concern you!" I said, "On the contrary, I think it does." Another one of the girls said, "She says she has Autism atau some kind of enlightenment crap." I said, "That's no...

I saw The Devil Wants Peace in konsert tonight. It was just as amazing as I imagined. My kegemaran moment in the konsert was when they played "Hatred Will Get anda Nowhere." I really like what John berkata about the song. He said, "This song is called 'Hatred Will Get anda Nowhere.' I wrote this song along with Allen, Peter, and Stan. After we recorded the song, Peter berkata to me, 'It's a shame that we kill off our Heroes and allow the evils of the world to enter.' I said, 'I agree with you, Peter.' He said, 'I'm no bloody genius. I never made anything above a B, but I think the world's...

I am currently in Chicago. I'm going to see The Devil Wants Peace in konsert tomorrow. They're already in Chicago as well. This is how I know. After we got our things unpacked, my aunt, uncle, and I decided to go see what Chicago had to offer. We stopped to eat at a local restaurant. I looked over and noticed the members of The Devil Wants Peace were there. I said, "Oh, my gosh! It's The Devil Wants Peace!" My aunt suggested going over to talk to them. I said, "I don't want to bother them while they're eating." My uncle walked up to them and said, "My niece is a huge fan. She knows...

Summer Vacation has been great so far. While I've been enjoying school lebih since I've gained a couple of friends, it's nice to have a break from it. I also received some exciting news. On July 9, I am going to be in Chicago to see The Devil Wants Peace in concert! I was so excited when my uncle told me he was able to afford the tickets. I later told my friend, Michael, "You should have seen me when my uncle told me the good news. I was jumping up and down, crying tears of joy." Normally, I'm not that excitable, but The Devil Wants Peace is one of my kegemaran bands. Since I was six, I dreamed of seeing them live, and now, I can stop dreaming. This dream is becoming a reality. I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to meet them, but the fact that I'm lucky enough to see them is great.

I ran the mile in gym class today. I ran it quickly, because I wanted to get it over with. Unfortunately, I ran it lebih quickly than I should have. I felt awful afterwards. I was walking to my seterusnya class. Michael said, "Grace, anda don't look so good. Are anda okay?" I said, "No, not really." He asked what was wrong. I said, "I feel a little dizzy." The seterusnya thing I knew, I woke up in the nurse's office with Michael standing seterusnya to me, looking anxious. I said, "Oh, my God. What happened?" He said, "You fainted." I said, "I did?" The nurse said, "You did." I said, "Oh, God. How long...

Friday the 13th is associated with bad luck, but I think today, I had good luck. I have made Friends with two kids in band, Michael, who plays the tuba, and Sabrina, who plays the flute. The three of us seem to get along really well. They're peminat-peminat of the Beatles and The Devil Wants Peace, just like me. They're so nice, too. They were also impressed with the fact I can play multiple instruments: saxophone, guitar, bass, and piano. When it was time to go home, the saw me and said, "See anda Monday, Grace!" I said, "Yeah, if not before then." They laughed. I'm glad that my luck is changing....

My birthday is normally a good day, but today was a bad birthday. It started when I was going downstairs for breakfast. Halfway down, I realized I left my glasses in my bedroom. I attempted to turn around and go back, but I Lost my footing and tumbled backwards down the stairs. I didn't get hurt, but it scared the crap out of me. It scared my aunt, too. She asked if I was okay, and when I calmed down, I berkata that I was fine. If that wasn't bad enough, it was even worse at school. While I was doing my classwork, one of my classmates threw a paper airplane at me. It contained a nasty...

When Joanna woke up the seterusnya morning, she felt desperate for food. She stripped the bark of a nearby pokok and found some insects. They were disgusting, but since it had been five days since she had eaten, Joanna didn't care. She drank from the stream to wash the taste of insects out of her mouth. She then pressed on to find her way back home. She found the steep bukit where she had fallen. She struggled to climb the hill, but she managed to make it to the top. When she made it to the top, she stopped to rest. In her sleep, she had a dream about the afterlife. It was beautiful, unlike anything...

It was summer, but Joanna couldn't enjoy it. Because of her taste in Muzik and her beliefs, she faced criticism. Not only was she being knocked down sejak school mates and neighbors, she was also facing criticism from her own family, save for her parents. One day, she berkata to herself, "I can't take it anymore. I have to run away. I doubt anyone will miss me when I'm gone." Without a saat thought, she ran into the forest behind her house. For the first three days, Joanna was happy to be on her own, away from all the criticism and insults. However, on the fourth day, she began to feel a bit lonely....

One day, Joanna and Millie were hanging out at Joanna's house. Joanna's grandparents made a surprise visit. They acted friendly upon meeting Millie, but they gave Joanna a stern look when they saw the letters, "L, G, B, and T" on Millie's shirt. Oh, no. This couldn't be good. After Millie left, Joanna's grandparents simultaneously asked, "Joanna, may we see anda in the kitchen?" Joanna followed them in the kitchen. That never meant anything good. Her grandfather said, "Your friend's a queer, isn't she?" Joanna said, "They don't call them queer anymore, Grandpa. Besides, Millie doesn't like to...

One day, Joanna was walking through the neighborhood. It was a cold January day, and as she was walking, she encountered some of her schoolmates. They started throwing Rawak objects at her. She ran as fast as she could, and as she ran, she looked behind her. Unfortunately, there was a rock in front of her, and she tripped over it. She tumbled down the hill, into the Frozen pond. The ice was very thin and broke beneath her weight. She could barely swim, and the ice was too thin for gripping. She cried for help, hoping someone would hear her. Just when she was about to give up, she heard Paul's...

One day, Paul and Joanna were hanging out with their friends, Ian and Millie. Some bullies started making fun of Millie. She was often bullied because she was homosexual. They said, "Go get hormone replacement therapy, anda fucking queer!" She began to cry. Ian said, "She doesn't need hormone replacement therapy! She's fine the way she is!" Joanna said, "That's exactly right!" Paul then said, "But anda all need attitude adjustment therapy!" The bullies were stunned. Joanna said, "Look, if you're opposed to homosexuals, that's fine, but don't curse at her and tell her to get hormone replacement...
