The creator of Fox’s upcoming comedy-horror anthology series on Wednesday tweeted a picture of his leading ladies, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lea Michele, together on set — and we’ve got a few questions.

ughhhh i cant stand leah michelle, still i might be watching the show

So unnecessary. I just do not get it. You don’t have to go have a cup of coffee with her.

Anyway i do not get why people dislike her. She seems fine to me.

Plenty of people like her – the idiot hater and troll types just spend a truly disturbing amount of time posting their dislike online. Must not have much going on in their lives. *shrug*

Personally I think the show sounds really promising and Michele’s a great actor so I think her performances will be a lot of fun. She’s an amazing vocalist, but it’ll be good to see her do a non-singing role.

It is possible that some people do not like her as an actress there is no reason for the name calling, really just because their opinion is different from yours.

I don’t like her either. We all don’t have to love each other.

It is also possible to be civil and not say you HATE someone. It was an unnecessary comment. Hate is thrown around way to much.

People don’t like anyone who seems actor-y or show bizzy for some reason. Like they like actors and show biz types, they just don’t want them to act like they’re actors. It makes no sense to me. It’s the same reason people hate Anne Hathaway.

I also don’t understand why anyone would “hate” her unless they personally know something about her that others don’t, which I doubt.

For my part, here are some things that I dislike that are associated to her:

* Glee was a very overrated show. It had its moments but from what I saw, the intense level of gushing that it received at times was out of proportion and undeserved.

* Lea Michele is talented and can really sing. She has often been compared to Barbara Streisand……but SORRY….Barbara Streisand SHE AIN’T!! Comparing the two doesn’t so much raise Lea but rather lowers Barbara, and that is just wrong.

* When Cory Monteith unfortunately passed away, Glee took several months off as it was reworked to continue without the character Finn. On the first day of shooting when production returned, a picture circulated on Twitter showing Lea sitting on her own looking pensively out the window. It had the expected reaction on social media of people commenting that she was strong and brave. It had the effect of people expressing admiration and well wishes. Nothing wrong with that at all. The concern I have was that the picture came from Lea herself. If the picture had been taken and published anonymously, that would be one thing. But because it came from her directly, i got the sense that she was looking for sympathy and attention. It struck me as egotistical and self serving.

Keep telling yourself that but the comment with the picture was that it was between takes.

She was letting people know she was back on set and dealing. I think people were/are way to judgmental on her. She had a fine line to walk. Her fans and Cory fans wanted to hear from her. She was damned if she did and damned if she didn’t . She still has Cory fans expecting her to acknowledge him more than she does and getting mad when she doesn’t and then she had people like you who accuse her of trying to get sympathy if she say anything. All the while some of the other cast have talked way more about Cory and they never get judged for it.

But really is that even really enough reason to HATE her?

You gave 3 reasons and frankly none of then are cause to hate someone. Why hate Lea becasue you think Glee was overrated? Why hate Lea becasue the writer (who has love Barbra before Lea was even born) of glee asked her to do Barbra songs and she did her job? Why hate her becasue others compared her to Barbra? So you hate her for what other people are doing? I have never once heard Lea say she was like Barbra just that she admired Barbra which I don’t think is an odd statement from a bway girl. You hate Lea becasue she was trying to connect with her fans and Cory fans? You may not have liked how she choose to do it but she had her reasons. Have you ever tried to mourn and have thousands of people looking at you and wanting to share in that morning with you? Do you hate Jane Lynch for talking about Cory on late night tv, or Mark Salling for twitting about his Cory memento he took from set, or Matt Morrison or Chord Overstreet for singing a song to Cory in public? How about the cast who put out special statements about Cory after his death do you hate them? Did you know some fans were giving Lea hate becasue she didn’t mention Cory by name on the Ellen show jsut weeks ago but Chord did? So I ask do you hate them all for maybe at at times grieving in public or is it that hate solely for Lea ?

I think the problem may be that—generally—she’s viewed more as a singer and not an actress. So, maybe some people dislike the fact that a singer is trying to be known for something more than she clearly isn’t known for, like acting. I don’t know, just my two cents.

She is an acotr and a singers. It not she was a well known singer who decided to give acting a chance. She has been acting and singing since she was 8 years old.

I love Lea Michele though but Leah Michelle not so much. SMH at people.

Love Lea only reason I will give Ryan Muprhy another chance.

Um..Jamie Lee Curtis = Lifelong nepotism . Lehah Michelle = Hard work , rea actress.

I’m watching because she’ll probably get killed off.

Also, season 1 of AHS took place is a lot of different times. Infantata, creepy twins, black dahlia, the 60s nursing student.

Are those skinny acid wash jeans with the pink windbreaker? Because that makes the exact date of the show more likely to be late ’80s

Can’t wait. Hope Ryan and company get it right. Yay for More Lea Michele on my screen this fall. Jamie Lee Curtis and the rest of the cast is awesome.

Now the long wait for Scream Queens. I ma interested in how thye will mix comedy with horror for the long run.

As much as I enjoy Lea, I will never watch a Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk show again. They start there shows off right, but then they all get destroyed within two to three seasons. I can’t believe the network is giving these hacks another show.

Suppose to be an anthology so one or two good seasons and you can be out cause it is a different story and maybe different actors.

Agree with you. I am not going to follow the steps of Ryan Murphy again. Regardless of the great cast whom might be a part of it.

Scream Queens is the new show I’m most excited to check out this year.

Fingers crossed. Like the cast and when Murphy gets it right it can be good . It is all about sustainability with him..

Short of the clothing, she looks like Rachel Berry circa 2009. Lea must be thrilled about that lol

I don’t think she looks like Rachel Berry. Rachel was well kept. This character looks a bit messy, hair is dirty and scraggly and the clothes look like she may be poor.

Nothing besides Lea clothes have pointed to a different time period.

I am actually looking forward to Scream Queens, but if Murphy really wants his series to be a homage to horror, he needs to cast Danielle Harris (of Halloween fame, not Ackles’s wife) ASAP.

Maybe Lea is playing a ghost or something, and she’s stuck wearing the outfit she died in back in the 80’s.

Makes me want to dress better and more comfortable just thinking I may be stuck in the same clothes forever.

Can’t wait! Excited to see what Lea’s role is!!

Interesting cast. Seeing Lea in a different part will be fun and I can’t wait to see what Keke Palmer’s role will be she seem to be a promising young actress.

Really don’t like Jamie Lee Curtis. To me, she is a really bad actress. Wonder how big her part is on the show.

Bad? Not gonna say she is great but she has never pulled me out of a scene to make me think she was bad either.

I will be so happy if this show is set in the 90s. Perfect time period for a Scream-type series.

What I don’t get is, why are Keke and Emma wearing current fashion in the teasers? Either its a misrepresentation of the season or it takes place in multiple time periods (which is common for American Horror Story).

Um, Andy, season 1 of AHS played in different time periods as well. In fact, it’s kind of a fixture for AHS.

Also, is it me or is the show really female heavy? As in, so far there’s only one male lead and he’s a teacher (Nick Jonas is already a lead in Kingdom, and he’s also apparently just recurring), and with the promos… is SQ’s first season going to be a sorority horror, which would be pretty interesting? But would anyone trust RM with a mostly female cast, after the abominion that was AHS: Coven?

Let’s hope it’s going to be more Black Christmas (1974) than Sorority Row.

Maybe a little female heavy but there is Oliver Hudson, Lucien Laviscount, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell and at least one other male role still being cast, plus Nick Jonas as a reoccurring role.

I think it will be more comedy than horror.

Maybe Lea is part of flashbacks and others in the cast are present day?

Could be but how many flashbacks would they have for her to still be considered one of the leads?

I am glad the show is only 15 episodes maybe Ryan’s ADHD won’t kick in.

If AHS can go off the rails in under 13 episodes, there’s no hope for this.

I’m pretty sure RM confirmed somewhere that the season takes place in present day; Lea’s character (named Brittany btw; who is arch-rival of Emma’s, named Chanel) probably just like 80s fashion.

Curtis and Michele are playing the same character. Curtis in the present, Michele in the past.

I was wondering about that too but extras have said Lea has had scenes with the other characters who are in the present.
