It wasn’t like I was expecting anything to happen, but what happened when we opened the book did surprise me.
“What in the world is that?” Alex asked, looking at the weird lettering.
“I don’t know, it’s definitely not English, but it doesn’t look like other languages, and I know a ton.” Iris said.
“Maybe it’s not even a language.” Darren said. “Sure doesn’t look like it.”
“It’s ancient, old, who knows when this was written in, and if it was in that box in the ocean, a pretty long time.” Zaria concluded.
“That’s what we could call it!” Mikey burst out. “The Ancient language.”
“Brilliant,” Brooklyn said. “Now how exactly are we going to uncode it?”
Mikey shrugged. “I come up with brilliant names, anda guys can do all the research.”
“How very sweet,” Terry berkata sarcastically.
“Guys! Let’s not fight, I’ll do the research for this…language, okay? And then we can try to uncode it.”
“Your going to need help,” Iris said. “I’ll help.”
“Me too,” Zaria cut in.
“Okay, so let me just study one word…” I squinted my eye at the lettering, trying to find the easy one to type. Translation: a word that has actually normal alphabets, I’ve never seen these one before.
“Ooh! There’s one!” Iris pointed at a word, with thankfully one that had normal letters.
“Lorendimer,” Zaria pronounced. “I think.”
“Okay, someone give me their phone,” I instructed.
Abe hands me his one, and I try not to ogle it while I type the word. We all know Abe’s parents are billionaire’s and Cinta to spoil there only child, it seemed unfair to get jealous over such a silly little thing.
“L-O-R-E-N-D-I-M-E-R..and there,” I say triumphantly as I press the enter button. But my joy was short lived when… nothing. At. All…popped up, not even a link to nowhere, it was completely blank.
“Okay now I’m starting to get scared,” Edith says, backing up slowly.
“Oh come on! It’s just a book, it can’t do anything!” Alex yells.
“It can’t?” I ask, looking at him with challenging eyes. “Then find and read at least a line, Mr. Confident.”
“Fine, I will.” He says crossly. He flips randomly and shouts. “Movishi Yudemia!”
It sounds like a pile of gibberish to me, but then suddenly, out of nowhere, all the windows in the whole neighborhood shatter. Making a huge amount of noise and crashing to the ground, We had all taken cover sejak that time, as not to get glass on us. And then…silence.
“Should we call the police?” Darren asks.
“No, we can’t!” Brooklyn yells. “And besides, someone in this neighborhood’s bound to, thanks to Alex, all their windows are gone.”
“I didn’t mean to!”
“Shh!” I berkata frantically. “Calm down, we can’t make a ruckus, we can’t make a scene, and we definitely can’t let the police catch us here, we aren’t exactly on their good side.”
“That’s the nicer way to put it,” Alex mutters.
“Where do we go?!” Edith asks.
We all look at each other at the same time, trying to brainstorm something fast. Zaria raises her arm, a devious yet skeptical look on her face.
“The school.”

I walk into
The Fields of Sorrow
Once again.
Why do I walk there
Almost everyday?
I stroll along the grasses
Thinking
Bearing a horrible pain.
I think of the world around me
And how much they have inspired me.
I start to cry once again.
All my teachers
All my friends,
They have always stood sejak me,
When things went wrong.
I want a chance to repay them,
To tunjuk them that...
Their work was useful.
To tunjuk them that
I am truly thankful.
Why do I have to leave them then
Now?
No, now's not a good time.
But I know it was not intended
That I leave them now.
I want to tunjuk all those people
That they have been
The change of my life,
That they have made my life so much
Better,
That they were the flames
In the darkness.
The Fields of Sorrow
Once again.
Why do I walk there
Almost everyday?
I stroll along the grasses
Thinking
Bearing a horrible pain.
I think of the world around me
And how much they have inspired me.
