I actually got through the book faster, trying to see when he comes back. haha I knew he would. We don't know how much it hurt him until chapter 22 of eclipse, but we catch glimpese of it until then. so no, my opinion of him did not change. And I wouldn't necesarily say that when he left her was a bad decision. He went with the one he thought was right for her. He didn't know how much it would hurt each of them to be apart. He thought she would get over him. He didn't think that even if he berkata she could alih on, that she would still cling to him. So, it can be interpretted different ways i guess. Now, Jacob, my opinion changed of him alot! but I'll save that for another time. haha
But his hati, tengah-tengah did break, not literally, but mentally, he Lost the will to live. He was just a being stuck in this lifeless world. Like Edward said, "Before anda Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars- points of light and reason. And then anda shott across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everthing was on fire. There was brilliancy, there was beauty. When anda were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded sejak the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no lebih reason for anything." He didn't have the will, the strength to live, but he was stuck in this lifeless, forgive the pun, world. She was his life, and when she was gone, when he hurt her to save her, he didn't have anything to live for.
