SilverWings tried to ignore it the first two times. She had finally gotten to sleep only to be awoken what felt like ten minit later. She sighed as her ringtone, Whistle sejak Flo Rida, rang a third time. She didn't want to wake the others with the ongoing tone.
Silver fumbled for along the dresser for a moment before her hand struck the cell. She flipped it open and held it to her ear, her head still resting on the pillow.
"Hello," she berkata grogily.
"Ary!"
"Nic," Silver sat straight up, fully awake now."What's wrong?"
"Don't hate me, but I need your help."
"Why would I possibly hate anda for waking me up at," she pulled the phone away from her ear to check the time, "three in the morning?" she asked, replacing the cell.
"Devil's Alley. Ten minutes."
------------------------------------------------------
"No!"
"Come on, Wings!"
"No. Blaze, I am not doing this."
"Ary-"
"I can't believe you'd even think I would do this." She crossed her arms, trying to make him understand she wasn't giving in.
"But you're the only person I know to call for help on this," Blaze argued. He was dressed in his usual night-owl clothing: combat-boots, jeans, black t-shirt, black hoody, and a red bandana similar to Silver's grey mask, except it was a brick-red.
And it was around his head, Rambo style, not over his eyes like hers.
At the moment, Blaze was also wearing a scowl.
"Call one of your jalan buddies. In sure they'll be glad to help you." Silver turned on her heel and walked back down the alley. Even in her leather jacket, the cold of the late evening was chilling. All she wanted was to get back to the cave and crawl back under the warm covers of her bed.
"Fine," he yelled after her. "Sorry for following the montra. anda know: It takes a thief, to catch a thief."
Silver froze.
The words were like salt in a wound. A deep wound.
She turned on her toes and walked back to her mentor. She stood in front of him and caught his hard eyes.
"Ex-thief," she hissed. "Capital X."
"Is that a yes?" Blaze asked.
"I could lose my place on the team if we get caught," she reminded him, hoping he would see how risky this whole situation was.
Blaze only smiled, though it was not a smile of humor. "Then let's not get caught." He turned, and walked down the alley. Silver sighed and followed him.
