The knock sounded on her door, just as she expected. She didn't alih to open it, returning to putting her stuff in hidden spots. She wasn't surprised when he was suddenly leaning against the wall. She just kept busy.
“Welcome home.”
Tara made no response atau sign that she even heard him. She just went on with putting away the clothes she would re-pack later on. He grabbed her arm, forcing her to stop. She looked at him blankly.
“You know anda did the right thing coming here. Don't act like I forced you.”
Tara nodded, choosing to ignore that last comment.
“Get ready. I'll meet anda in ten minutes.”
He turned to head back out the door.
“Don't think you've won, Kuran. I'm here but not for long. We both know how I am.”
He turned back to her, a cruel smile on his face.
“Yes. The little kambing, daging biri-biri has some very bold features. But like a lamb, anda do as your told. And anda follow the rest of my 'flock' when I lead. Face it, dear. anda are not the wisest among the group, neither are anda the quickest. anda are human, anda have limits. And I know how to trigger them.”
Tara's eyes narrowed. She wasn't very happy that he compared her to a sheep. But she was pissed he had the nerve to call her both slow and stupid in his eloquent way.
“I may be like a sheep, but anda are the wolf. anda try again and again to keep the kambing biri-biri anda steal and every time anda get foiled. This time will be no different.”
“Ah but this serigala, wolf has on a new coat. And this new kot has lebih power in it than ever.”
“Wolves end up on the run.”
“And kambing biri-biri end up a sacrifice.”
