Mel laid in her bed, unable to sleep, because of the Angel statue on the window sill. It gave her an eerie feeling, almost as if a demon was lurking in the angel's eyes. She pulled the bantal over her head, hoping it would go away. The phone beside her katil began to rang. Only greeted sejak a dropped stomach, she curled up, gripping the pillow. She blocked out the noise, able to fall asleep.

The covers were pulled over the small body, and the bantal rested beneath her head. She couldn't sleep. She could only hope nothing would grab her, and jerk her from her bed. She looked around her pitch black room. The curtains hid the hints of light, and nothing could be seen. She jerked her head around; she could have sworn something was there. Tears beaded up in her wide eyes, and that dreadful feeling settled in her stomach. She slowly, ever so slowly, making not a sound, slipped from her bed, and out the door. She ventured her way into her parent's room, shivering, and the hairs on her neck and arms standing up. She reached up, and tugged on her father's arm. He stirred, looking at her.
"Mel, why are anda up sweetie?" He propped himself up on his elbows.
"D-Daddy, there's something in my closet..." She whispered, tears streaming down her face. Jaime had already taken the spot on her parents's bed, so Brennan had to get her to sleep in her own room. He slipped from his bed, picking up the small child.
"Come on sweetie, let's go to bed." He whispered, careful not to wake up his wife and child. The little girl sniffled, and nodded. He shuffled to her bedroom, opened the door, and laid the small child on the bed. One thing caught his eye: Her closet door was open. Normally, it was shut, with his raptor vision, he could make out a figure in the pitch black room. He began breathing deeply, careful not to alarm the child. He calmly walked into the closet, and shut the door. Grunts and crashes came from inside, causing the small girl to whimper in fear.
"D-D-Daddy..."
Finally, the closet door opened. Several Eraser bodies lay on the floor, dead.
"There's nothing in your closet, dear."
"Daddy, your arm..." She pressed herself against the headboard. He looked down at his arm, a gash settled in his skin.
"It's nothing honey, go back to sleep." She watched her father bungkus, balut his arm.
"Oh, and if anda see something in your closet,"-Brennan placed a pistol on her nightstand-"Use that."
"Okay, Daddy."
Mel knew how to use a gun, due to past experiences.
He gave her a Ciuman on the head, tucked her up, and left the room silently, like the ghost he was...
Brennan ran his hand through his hair, his little ten tahun old girl was still afraid of her closet, she still loved stuffed animals, she still had imaginary friends... Would she ever grow up?
