Captivating. That was the only way he could describe her. Captivated; the only way he could describe how he felt right now. He watched as she seemed to hover over the floor although the skirt of her dress was short. She had a brilliant smile and stunning eyes. But he could see a layer of pain behind the happy front she was putting on. Had he never been trained as he was, he probably would have never known. But he was trained that way and he couldn't help how he badly he wanted to wipe away the pain. His sister's dedication gala was in full hayun, swing when he found his way back from his thoughts.
His sister stood beside his adoptive father, who was introducing her and making small talk with all the guests. His own eyes traveled back to his sister's friend, the one his earlier thoughts had captured. She was laughing at something one of his brothers had said, a fiesty glint in her eye and a smirk on her face. He watched the hand on her waist slip further down and decided it was time to step in. He walked over and bowed from the waist, hand outstretched to her.
“Do me the honors of having this dance?”
Her smile was warm and genuine but he saw the flash of surprise and sorrow in her eyes. She gently took his hand, probably out of desperation to get away.
“Of course, Mr. Grayson. Excuse me, Jason.”
He swept her off before Jason could reply and looked at the girl in his arms.
“My deepest apologies for Jason. He's not good with women.”
“On the contrary. He is very good just not in public affairs.”
“..have you..?”
She laughed.
“No but his reputation proceeds him.”
“This is true. And what might your name be?”
“My name is Rebecca Stevens.”
“Rebecca.” He tested the name on his tongue and liked the sound. “It Suits you.”
She smiles and her eyes fell to the white dress she wore. He tilted his head slightly at her.
“My apologies, Mr. Grayson. I'm just remembering.”
“It's alright. And I'd prefer if anda called me Dick atau at least Richard.”
She smiled again and gave a slight nod of her raven head.
“Tell me something, Rebecca. Have we ever met before?”
“I believe not.”
“Are anda sure? anda seem familiar.”
“A great many things seem familiar.”
“This is true. anda have a good head on your shoulders.”
“Thank you.”
“Should I expect to see anda at lebih of these events?”
“I believe not.”
“Why not? I would like anda to come.”
“Things can not be as we wish, Richard.”
“..please say you'll come. This is one of the best nights of my life.”
“I can make no such promises.”
“Then I should make sure to get your number. Then you'll have no choice but to agree.”

"Revenge was right." Nightwing said, looking up from the computer screen. "They were sophisticated robot-fleshlings."
Revenge, with his recently repaired costume, looked at the diagram. "Exactly what I thought." he said.
Before Nightwing could inquire what the Black Hero meant, the zeta-tube warmed up.
holly looked around, noting that the entire team was there.
"Who--?"
"Recognized: Kid Flash. B-03."
Wally stumbled out of the zeta-tube at super-speed and fell down in front of Nightwing.
"Whoah buddy." Nightwing said, laughing. "Slow down!"
